What would have to happen for BoG to end up in UK theatres? Which parties would be involved? Would someone like Manga UK have to license it?

I'm not sure. But it does look quite complicated. Furthermore Manga stated that they won't be able to get home video rights, as that country would have to have a theatrical run beforehand. And as Blade pointed out to me earlier in this thread, there was that map of all the countries to have/or will have a theatrical BoG and UK wasn't marked sadly

It's hard to tell really. The British Film Institute usually holds the large anime premieres here or at least are the first to show them in some capacity. They've shown all the Evangelion Rebuild films over the past few years as well as the early subtitled Ghibli releases. Unfortunately, I've contacted them numerous times about the possibility of Battle of Gods and they've replied that they simply have no plans to at this point.

It's a shame really. I hope we do get to see it at some point!

Seeing movies like this with a huge audience can either be a blessing or a curse, but when it's a blessing, it's really fun. I remember when TFS episode 17 came out (one of their best episodes, in my opinion), I laughed hysterically when I saw it online. I re-watched it several times, but didn't laugh quite as hard just because I knew what jokes were coming up and the "surprise factor" was eliminated. However, a month or two later I watched a taping of the episode's debut at Anime Evolution, audience reactions included, and I laughed like it was the first time I saw the episode because it was fun to hear the audience's reaction.

Yeah, all the reactions to certain parts was great. Especially when Vegeta yells "MY BULMA!!!!!".

I watched the blue exorcist movie with a similar audience like that, I preferred/enjoyed it much more compared to the clean audio that was out on Blu-ray.

I'm looking forward to the August 5th showing near me. Ill be sure to try and record some audience reactions for everyone. Hopefully it turns out better than my attempt with Godzilla..not even a single "ohh" or "ahh" during that showing.

I love how everyone cheered when Gohan went Ultimate. they must have felt like OO when he was owned a second later. Except for the 99% who have watched it in a trailer.

By the way - I couldn't understand what Gotenks said when he was owned. In the original he said "SORRY ...!" (in Japanese, of course).
