Well he did heal everybody after they were nearly killed by 17 and 18. Don't know if that's major enough for you or not.

Well if we are counting contributions like those I wouldn't call characters like Ten useless after the Saiyan Arc either.

Convince Trunks to not kill 16
Senzu Bean
Was giving a important role in the story.
Deactivated the bombs in the cyborg twins
Actually had a nice rage moment (though not useful)
Destroyed Cell

Compared to the others aka Ten who
Got ass beat
Prevent Cell
Got ass beat

Krillin was far from useless. Maybe not useful in power but everything else yeah he's useful.

Well yes, but it was Ten allowing #18 to escape from Cell briefly that led to Krillin destroying the remote and #18 seeing his compassionate side, so the romance was thanks to Ten.

Nitpicking huh? Gohan made Cell throw up so Krillin was allowed to watch over her more in which 18 said thank you. Piccolo told 18 this. So no Ten might be the wing man. But Gohan and Piccolo made the romance. You've been debunked my friend.

Bringing this back on topic. I do in fact. Makes me change the channel. Even his appearance in BoG made me cringe. I hope he's not in the next movie. Just say he's off training.

I don't think he was in the 2008 film.

Neither would I. You don't have to win fights to be useful. You don't even have to fight at all to be useful.

I do not think so, Goku will not become SSJ God, according to Toriyama, he doesn't need to. Maybe in a dangerous situation for few seconds.

It wouldn't surprise me if, Toriyama being Toriyama, we get a film where Super Saiyan God doesn't play a part at all, or isn't even mentioned! It would certainly make me laugh.

Anyway, I'm so excited for this after reading the 'worst wish' tagline. It immediately evokes images of GT and the Black Star Dragonballs, but the idea of a catastrophe being caused by a bad wish is a lot more interesting to me than some big bad just showing up out of the blue.

Aw, I wouldn't want ssjg Gokû being swept under the rug; I like him. ^^; I don't mind him as being a "last resort" type situation though.

Anyone think Pilaf Gang will be in this next movie?

The point is that Toriyama wants to keep Goku as a God but without literally transforming into SSJ-God in that way to take its appearance, he confirmed in an interview that Goku has absorbed that realm of SSJ God, so he doesn't need turn into SSJ-God to fight. I do not think if the poster it's a relevant part of the story, Goku was so confident after he had gotten beaten by Beerus, if would not posseess God power any more.

I'm also excited for this wish, I'm almost sure that the new characters are also Gods the type of Beerus.

The storyboard of the opening animation to BoZ was done by Yamamuro? It was the worst fucking shit ever. My expectations are getting lower and lower. Who the hell chose him as the director?

Yeah, I just looked up the intro to BoZ, and... take back what I said about him potentially improving...

It's amazing how lackluster his work has become, since in Z he was fantastic.

The key difference being that the modern industry has animators working on a much greater quantity of material to far stricter deadlines.

I see. I'm not too knowledgeable on the animation industry.

Some old school animators are still able to produce really great stuff under modern conditions and restraints, so it's kind of hard to say whether that reflects better on them or poorly on the animators who have struggled to adapt to the modern industry and tend to produce work of a poorer quality.

So again what's the difference between what an animation supervisor does in the drawings and what the director does on the drawings, as far as storyboard and animation go?
