At least, they used the japanese soundtracks.
A world without Dragon Ball is just meh.

I thought that it was hilarious when vegeta got shot and it actually hurt him.
Neo died for our smiths.

People seem to like it apparently. Corny as hell if you ask me. They try too hard.Dbzfan94 wrote:Was...that supposed to be funny?

Some fans take it too seriously, I see.Dbzfan94 wrote:Was...that supposed to be funny?
Now Goku will only get Gohan back if he turns Hyper Mega Ultra Super Saiyan 4 God Level 50!funrush wrote:"Gohan's MY son now."
It was a hilarious parody but even more seeing Vegeta getting hurt by a bullet and that Latino Vegetto.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

It's not that I took it seriously. I can laugh my ass off at DBZ parodies if they're done right.dbboxkaifan wrote:Some fans take it too seriously, I see.Dbzfan94 wrote:Was...that supposed to be funny?

It's nice to see a project by someone who actually understands Toriyama's artistic vision. This is the movie that Evolution should have been.

For what it's worth, I also understand that it's a parody, but...yeah...I...maybe Mega64 videos just aren't for me or something, cuz I just spent the whole time I watched this with my head tilted, trying to figure out when someone slipped something into my drink.

Mega64's style of humor (I guess it isn't really "theirs", but you know what I mean) definitely isn't for everyone. It's one of those instances of "If you don't follow them/know what they're about, you probably won't think it's funny."

They're into awkward humor. Originally they would do skits where they would act like game characters in public in front of unsuspecting people. And occasionally said unsuspecting people would get quite mad, so I think it takes a bit of backbone (since these skits can be kind of embarrassing).

That and the fact that if could also be a parody of Dragon Ball Z fan films rather than Dragon Ball Z itself. So the cheese factor was very deliberate, I think.Fulicer wrote:They're into awkward humor. Anywhoo, I smiled at it. I normally find their stuff funny but this one didn't really make me laugh but I appreciate it for what it is.

I especially appreciated the football pads that were used for Vegeta's "armor."Insertclevername wrote:That and the fact that if could also be a parody of Dragon Ball Z fan films rather than Dragon Ball Z itself. So the cheese factor was very deliberate, I think.

How can Rocco and Garrett be so awesome?
Re: Mega64's "Dragon Ball Z" Live Action Movie Trailer
I found it funny, but it did feel a bit forced at times. Plus it's obvious FUNi commissioned it to garner awareness for BoG, so that does take away some of its value for me.
