Isn't there a way to get the severs to work again by inputting certain IPs on the router and then the game would recognise them as officials?

Shot in the dark here but would setting the clock on the console back a day or 2 allow you to play again?dbboxkaifan wrote:Isn't there a way to get the severs to work again by inputting certain IPs on the router and then the game would recognise them as officials?

Yeah that's definitely something I have no idea about nor would I wanna try something like that.
I wanna play it just as bad but I want them to take their time. We may actually have ourselves a good Dragonball game on the way guys! haha I mean, I hate Ultimate Tenkaichi. I haven't played every single game there has been. but that in my opinion was the worst I have played. I played the demo to battle of Z and just didn't buy it. lol

What do you mean? Full Blast Volley was incredibly useful at point blank and Special Beam Cannon straight up can't be blocked! I found uses for both of those moves often.KentalSSJ6 wrote:So, was I the only one that found Ki supers to be pointless?

I think Kental means Ki charging supers... which I agree, it's easier to just charge by meleeing or parrying xD

I found a lot of the Ki based moves just easy to dodge in general with the exception of Giant Storm. The Kamehameha has a long chargeup that can be dodged with the mere flick of the analog stick if at the proper distance and if you fire it point blank with no charge it does fairly little damage. After a few matches I found myself sticking to melee and the Evil Dash attack.radrappy wrote:What do you mean? I hate in fighting games when they attach stats to clothing itemsKentalSSJ6 wrote:I'm a little worried about something with Xenoverse. I only just recently realized even the basic starting outfit boosted my stats. To be honest I was kinda disappointed by that as I could see those boosts being the reason I won so many matches. I swear I saw one guy manage to get Energy Volley to actually track the opponent. Anyway ki supers generally worked better when you comboed into them but Explosive Demon Wave was generally a good tool to keep opponents away if they got too close, and yes Evil Dash is probably one of the best supers in the Test, it was so useful in almost every situation.KentalSSJ6 wrote: I found a lot of the Ki based moves just easy to dodge in general with the exception of Giant Storm. Evil Dash worked best when you come out of a physical clash with the enemy. As soon as you jump apart use it. I think the only thing that counters it is a well timed Double Sunday, otherwise it's a great move to get some breathing room or combo into a dashing heavy for a further juggle (which you experienced first hand.)Quebaz wrote:I swear I saw one guy manage to get Energy Volley to actually track the opponent. I totally forgot about that. While I didn't feel that big of a difference during the matches, (won most of them with the standard costume and only Goku's boots and wristbands) I'm very much of the camp of wanting my character to look the way I want without consequences.Sshadow5001 wrote:I hate in fighting games when they attach stats to clothing itemsKentalSSJ6 wrote:I'm a little worried about something with Xenoverse. I get that we can choose whatever we wanna wear in Tokitoki and have several presets with whatever combination of looks and skills (which is a great thing to have, regardless) but still.

I'm torn on this. When games eliminate stats from clothes, it does open things up for customizability, but it also renders equipment flat out useless and entirely shallow/cosmetic then. It's made games like PSO2 more about dress up than actual gameplay. I think some stats to clothes (but nothing too game breaking) can work as long as you can potentially modify your gear to make the clothes you like stronger. Dark Souls handles this great. Then again Dark Souls also has a weight component that heavily influences what you can wear as well.Rukura wrote:I totally forgot about that. DC Universe has it so you can equip clothes that better your stats, but you can then change your "style" to whatever you want and keep those stats. So you can have helmet stats, without actually seeing the helmet worn, or use a different helmet look. You would have to have collected that item first. Pretty cool.

Bottom line is I don;t want my attire winning battles for me. I wanna beat somebody simply with skill without any sort of boost. I'd be fine if all customization was purely cosmetic. As long as it wont alter my stats ill be fine with it.

My point is that I don't see why clothes and equipment need to be one and the same, in this game. I can't say I don't appreciate their effort to make costumes more than just fanservice....but, at the same time, that's mostly what they are. Which is why we've always had different costumes, so that we can choose the ones we like best, and things like the Capsule and Card systems to customize stats to our playstyle.radrappy wrote:I'm torn on this. We even have a Z-Soul as part of the equipment, something that affects how you play but that you can't see from the outside. (Until it activates, anyway)
I dont' want to have to wear Goku boots, Boo pants, Vegetto vest and Paikuhan turban just because it's what fits my stats best for the way I want to fight, is what I'm saying.

I don't want to look like a freak just because that combination gives good stats! I sincerely hope they will give us two types of sets (like someone said in a previous post) with a set for "stats" and one for "what it looks like", or just make them all "no stats".

But it's a pitty from what I saw. I don't even like the design of Tokitoki city.
The thing I'm looking forward the most are actual fights from the series.
I'm just nostalgic sad guy who remembered those golden days of DB Online play in that huge world

That's all fair, and a big part of this game is making your character look how you want, so they shouldn't have restrictions in place that would inhibit that freedom. I suppose it would make sense of a saiyan battle jacket provided more protection than a normal gi, but that kind of logic hardly ever applied in the source material to begin with.Rukura wrote: My point is that I don't see why clothes and equipment need to be one and the same, in this game.
