Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
The SSJ3 Goku figure is called "Figuart Zero EX" and looks twice the size ofthe SSJ Goku Zero, so it will be massive. With the price set at 100, before shipping, after shipping will be *horrid*. Wonderful! :'D
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

I don't get it. The prototype was Super Saiyan Vegetto, but all they've been showing is regular Vegetto lately.Gonstead wrote:April 2015 for Vegetto.
I hope they don't try to nickle and dime us further with this mold. By this point they should do what they did with Trunks and Gohan and give us a non SS and SS head together.

I'm really liking the Goku figure the only problem I have with it is the Hair!!
The vegito figure is alright I guess.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
It looks like SS3 ZERO EX Goku's hair is so heavy that it needs a stand.
What I don't get is why they don't make the majority of the hair a hollow piece that glues onto the back of the head? If sculpted right you wouldn't notice any seam lines and there would be no weight issues. They should have done that to the regular Figuarts.

I think the SS3 Goku looks pretty good. Does this mean Figuart Zero EX is a new line of toys?

This would have helped the sculpt tremendously. Every SS3 Goku they make looks more like SS2.5 because the hair they include is so heavy that they only have like half of what the form usually grows.Metalwario64 wrote:It looks like SS3 ZERO EX Goku's hair is so heavy that it needs a stand.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
It's not like they don't want too, but it's harder then it looks. Figure collecting a niche hobby and action figure collection may not be a big thing in other parts of the world. From what I can remember that only SSj Goku, SSj Cell saga Gohan and Piccolo got retail releases. Bluefin already said that they can't reissue web exclusives. It ruins the point of them being web exclusives. Just like how fans asking for reissues of the other Power Ranger team members figuarts and the other Godzilla MonsterArts when they can't because they were web exclusives. DBZ figuarts sell better in America then they do in Japan. I guess there's not many DBZ action figure collectors in Japan then they are here in America.sintzu wrote:
It's not like the series is unknown so i'm sure they would sell very well.

I don't understand that though. If it's reissued online... it's still a web exclusive. I don't see why they don't just keep manufacturing them instead of discontinuing them after the first run.Hellspawn28 wrote:Bluefin already said that they can't reissue web exclusives. Going by that logic, a comic-con exclusive is still a comic-con exclusive even if it's something from many years ago.Metalwario64 wrote:I don't understand that though. Web Exclusives are made with a specific amount of stock created. Once that stock runs out, it's gone for good. Unlike the retail figures which can be reissued at any time.
It's like if you have a 1 of 100 limited edition only available in the world of something and then years later they put out more as if it's common stock.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
I didn't realize Web Exclusives were supposed to be limited. I thought they were just sold on Bandai's website because they feel they wouldn't perform well in stores. But given I didn't know that, I guess it goes to show I don't know much about this subject.

Eh, the face does look better now (on some of them), but the hair is still annoying. It's not as wide or tall as Goku or Vegeta's figure hair, which makes it seem really weird that the two fuse and seem to loose like half their hair. xD

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
The hair does looks a bit odd from the front, because the lower section doesn't flair out like it should. I think every other shot looks fine though.
I like the face sculpts though, and I'm glad we're getting both heads after all. I'm definitely getting Vegetto.

Looks awesome, just wish the belt sash was a bit lighter blue so that it clashed a bit more.

I'll be sure to grab all of them.
Sure, Battle Damaged Goku is overused, but they've at least been doing it in different ways.

Tamashii Webshop Opens For the West

I know Bluefin can release DBZ web exclusives, but I can see the shop being useful if there's some Dragon Ball related stuff that can't be imported to the US via Bluefin. I feel like if Arale gets made into a Figuart then she might not be released in the US if she becomes a web exclusive since she's technically not a Dragon Ball character. Same universe, different license. Just like how a possible Zone Fighter figure be a S.H Figuart and not a S.H MonsterArt despite Zone Fighter and Godzilla existing in the same universe.
