Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
I don't expect plot for a good while. I do expect the movie poster in this month's VJump though (along with a vague-sounding tagline).
On hiatus.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
I don't care if we don't get anymore news till next year, but with Jump Festa on the way, I'm at least hoping for a title and a poster before the end of the month. A December announcement just feels like it would be WAY too long of a drought.
Plus I have too much other crap in the month to deal with than to speculate over a DB movie. =P

That's right! I had forgotten about Jump Festa! Huh... maybe we will get a trailer or character designs by then.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:I don't care if we don't get anymore news till next year, but with Jump Festa on the way, I'm at least hoping for a title and a poster before the end of the month. Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

So... no updates yet? I just hope this movie isn't like BoG, 30% relevant information, 10% fight scenes and 60% comedy.

I remember Akira stating this movie will have a lot more action.Majin Vegeta Fan wrote:So... no updates yet? I just hope this movie isn't like BoG, 30% relevant information, 10% fight scenes and 60% comedy.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Honestly, I don't want too different of a spread. We need a bit more action this time around, but I don't want it to be anything close to the previous Pre-BOG films where it's basically all fighting. So maybe 35% info, 25% action, 40% comedy...but not at a party setting.Majin Vegeta Fan wrote:So... no updates yet? Awesome! it seems like Toriyama got the message, comedy worked well in DB, but it doesn't fit in DBZ.

The only arc that really lacked a decent amount of comedy was the Cell Arc. The Saiyan and Freeza Arcs has a decent amount sprinkled in, and Buu was basically equal parts action and comedy (and was great because of it). So comedy fits just fine with DBZ.

Comedy moments are cool sometimes, like when Goku bites Frieza's tail... Frieza seems to be in pain for that but barely surviving a Genki Dama just makes him mad, lol. As for the Cell Arc, i believe it has a fair amount of comedy, mostly provided by Mr. Satan.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:The only arc that really lacked a decent amount of comedy was the Cell Arc. About the lack of news.
I rather have a few months without nothing and then get a lot of news, one after another. I don't expect anything this month either.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

I just want something that us on this forum and thread can theorize on, and why things the way they are, then wonder when we're going to get more news like we are now.

Much agreement. I feel like I'm going in circles sometimes (I probably am.)
I want it to be November so I have some new fresh info to do stuff with. I think it'll be November because it was November last year and because of promoting Jump Festa.

Month of May might be that way for me. There might be a tremendous amount of other stuff going on, but hopefully things work out and fall well.

With a The Last Naruto The Movie coming out in December I expect a trailer in late November or early December, assuming these films usually advertise films from other studios and production committees.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Two random thoughts about the film:
- Considering this a direct sequel to BOG, I wonder if they'll use this film to further elaborate on the Super Saiyan God legend. In BOG, the whole origin story seemed a little random and rather detached from the movie itself. I know this is mainly due to Toriyama making significant changes to the original script, but I wonder if they'd consider drawing elements from there and integrating them into this movie- perhaps stuff that didn't fit in with Toriyama's revisions.
- With the whole, "Worst wish in history", everyone seems to be presuming that the one that's being revived is a villain, however I was thinking that we could potentially be seeing a Tapion-type situation in the movie.

Re: circles
Accidental side effect of me really wanting to find out new stuff about this movie and there being little to nothing updated anywhere about it. TuT
I'm wondering if direct sequel means "one week later" or more like "a few years later".
It does sound like a Movie 13 kinda thing; I'd hope it's not like Movie 13 though. It was an interesting story, but everyone felt sidelined who wasn't Tapion or Trunks and that just didn't interest me at all. Gokû and Vegeta were barely in it, Piccolo didn't even show up...I don't even remember if Kuririn was there. ^^; Gohan had a short bit, I think.
17 more days to go before VJump.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Kuririn was in movie 13, just...really, really briefly. He's seen helping find the Dragon Balls (and gets scared by a bunch of amusement park monsters), but then...well...that's it really. Did he get killed or eaten alive by the amusement park monsters? Nobody knows!

Are they going to announce something about the movie?
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
With this upcoming issue of Weekly JUMP containing the last two chapters of Naruto it wouldn't be surprising if they used the chance to unveil new information for this upcoming 2015 Dragon Ball Z film, too.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Now that Naruto has closed out after fifteen years of serializing (it has a nice ending, some are what I expected), I am not surprised there are no updates regarding 2015 Dragon Ball Z movie.
