No, if we go by Akira's theory than Saiya-jins do in fact bald. I think what he's saying is that if nothing unnatural alters a Saiya-jin's hair than it will remain in it's frozen place. Balding or growing slightly with age are the exception however.

Right. Otherwise King Vegeta never would have been able to have his awesome goatee. Past yer prime, you start growing hair in places you didn't have hair before, I think the case seems to be.

Vegeta says a saiyan's hair never changes from birth. That does NOT bmean they have those exact same strands of hair from birth until death. Thier hair falls out, gets cut, whatever just like anyone else. What he is saying is that once his (Vegeta's) hair grows out to that pointed look, it stops at THAT length and form. THAT is what Vegeta meant, and I really don't understand the confusion this seems to spawn every 3-5 months when this type of topic resurfaces. Don't you guys remember me explaining it in the same way last time this came up?

Could you explain what you're refering to please? as far as i know - there is nothing canon that flatout states that they bald...though it sounds plausable to me.

I have a theory that many saiya-jin do not grow facial hair, while some (like Nappa) do.. i too believe that nappa shaves, and speculate that it relates to some old saiyan tradition reserved to certain individuals in the elite status.

As for facial hair I think all male Saiyans can grow facial hair. They just shave it like anyone else would if they don't want to have a beard. Common sense is a b*tch

What if Saiyan females have facial hair too? Saiyans are after all somewhat different from humans. Maybe that's why Akira didn't draw saiyan females in Dragonball.

That he did and NO she did not have beard! Ugh! That's just wrong.... And slightly off topic but Seripa was not Goku's mother. Another relation (not sister or grandmother

) perhaps (or not at all...it's best left to the fan's imagination). She was DEFINITLEY NOT Goku's mother. Seripa was on Planet Kanassa when Goku was born. It is assumed his mother is in the infirmary or perhaps she died giving child birth (in a theory I made, it is somewhat common for mother Saiyans to die giving birth because of the babies superhuman strength while struggling or kicking but that's another thread).

But yeah, I've seen that theory in fanfics and stuff before. If it's true, then whoever Bardock's mate was, she must've been cut of higher stuff to have 2 kids (Let's not forget Raditz)

10-seconds-afterthought EDIT: But if ya ask me, it's probably not the case. I think it was said at some point that Saiyans aren't born much stronger than babies of any other race. Just because they become strong very quickly in their early childhood doesn't mean they can start chucking boulders around the minute they're born. Besides, if it was that common for Saiyan women to die in childbirth, then the Saiyan race probably wouldn't last too long. They'd run outta women!

For that matter, the babies would've died too in the days before bottled milk. o: The Saiyajin race would've died out pretty fast if the women died in childbirth.

And I still think it would be nifty if saiyajin were uncapable of balding. It'd give saiyajin men additional bragging rights when conquering planets. "Not only are you weaker than me! You'll go bald before I ever do!"

Edit: As to bearded women, why not, dwarves have them too. >.>;; It'd be worth a chuckle if that gene resurfaced in Pan.

Speaking of Gt, was the question of Vegeta's mustache(sp) talked about? I mean if saiyans are born the hairstyle they will have as adults does that mean Chibi Vegeta had a mustache when he was younger..?
