I feel like people are too quick to dismiss the idea of Freeza returning. I can understand the disappointment after the amount of potential, "the worst wish in history" held, but come on. This guy is directly linked to the origins of Goku and Vegeta. We don't even know what his plan is or how he's going to achieve his new transformation yet. I get that bringing back Freeza again cheapens the character, but this is also partly due to the After-Life Tournament Arc, GT and DBZ Movie 12. We're talking about Toriyama here, he isn't just gonna pull out something generic. He proved that with the twists in BOG.

Remember with Battle of Gods? Everyone was saying Beerus looked stupid but he ended up being one of the most popular aspects of the film.

Have faith, people. Just wait until we have more information. Then we can start stirring up a shit-storm.

EDIT: On the 12 universes thing, I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't think it's necessary for them to actually be explored in future films. To me, it seemed to serve its purpose for putting Goku and co. into perspective and providing a sense of scale to an already massive universe. I think it's thinking about the potential that this concept holds that gives it impact and I feel that literally exploring it would take some of that away. I know if they don't utilize the universes it can just look like random bullshit, but the way it's presented in the film makes it seem like a throwaway line anyway. I think leaving it as simply a random tidbit maintains that element of mystery surrounding the world that these characters live in and that no matter how far they've explored and no matter how strong they get, there's always something more and to physically see all of this; I think it would confine everything and create a limit that I don't think would fit with the ideas that Dragon Ball is based around and the view Toriyama has for the series. But hey, maybe I'm wrong. If they were to visit the other universes, I feel like they'd have to keep expanding it to retain that sense of how limitless this world and these characters are.

Agreed. I can't imagine them waiting until January. December's a big month for Shueisha. I imagine they'd want the trailer out before the magazine goes on break and before Jump Festa happens.

In 2012, we first saw a preview of the BOG trailer on the 7th of December and since we're mostly following the BOG schedule of events, then I'd say we can expect to see something as early as the end of this week.

I'd say it's pretty likely that they'll screen the trailer at Jump Festa, but I'm almost certain that we'll see it before hand. In 2012, the BOG trailer was "leaked" early on the 11th. It was then officially released 21st.

Speaking of Broly, anyone annoyed that recent games and art have made his hair greener? It looks ugly. His hair bordered more towards the yellow side before, and was just yellow in Toriyama's original concept art...

Toriyama never drew Broli in color. (I'm also not entirely convinced the lineart of him in his Super Saiyan form is Toriyama's, either. It looks a lot like Yamamuro's style.)

I think it would be interesting to see some character development on freezas part. Perhaps at the end he will just give up and become a good guy like all the others. Probably not though lol. On an unrelated topic thats just been on my mind... I feel like that little sash he wears in that figurine is going to be some kind of joke when he is revived... like " Happy revival!"

I do find it funny that people think that this movie is going to do less then Battle of Gods. Battle of Gods turn out great and most people like it. I think people will see it since they want to see more next.

Looks like Shida's going to be busy! He mentions Dragon Ball but I'm not sure if that means Fukkatsu no F or another Dragon Ball Kai Ending. Shida was credited for 'Ending Assitance' on the current Ending so I wouldn't be surprised if he lent a hand again. If he's working on PreCure, Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Disk Wars: Avengers at the same time I can't believe he's working on Fukkatsu no F given how much effort that would likely entail. Then again, I could be wrong.

I hope his arm recovers. It's been four months!

Wait how much money did BoG make internationally?

It made $30 million in Japan and about $20.5 million everywhere else so about $50.5 million worldwide. Which is pretty good considering it probably only cost a tenth of that to make.

There's certainly room for a large improvement as well. It's never gonna make blockbuster level amounts but I do think this movie could easily make a hell of a lot more money than Battle of Gods if they did it right.

With Battle of Gods I think they underestimated how successful it was going to be internationally, a mistake I'd hope they wouldn't make with this one.

I actually just guessed that based on my knowledge of Toriyama and DB in general. Which I think was a pretty amazing guess all things considered! haha.

Maybe the one in the figure is what he starts out the movie wearing then; I know with OP Film Z the costumes on the poster are from the climax, so Gokû gets the new dogi at the mid-point of the film(?).

Well, first figure is revealed, and it's a Super Saiyan. Not confirmation, given some of the promo stuff for Battle of Gods that didn't technically get into the film, but it is a little bit of evidence that we'll see the form in the movie for those worried about that.

Toriyama mention Goku probably won't go SSj-SSj3 again anytime soon. So I would imagine the toy is just a toy made for the film and Goku won't be going SSj in the movie. Films have toys of stuff that is not in the movies themselves like Transformers for example.

No. Toriyama said he probably wouldn't use levels 2 and 3, because the regular stage of Super Saiyan is "better".

Goku endlessly keeps getting stronger, with Super Saiyan 3 in the manga and Super Saiyan 4 in the anime; does Super Saiyan keep getting limitlessly stronger too? Might we eventually see things such as a Super Saiyan 5…?!
Super Saiyan 2 and 3 are nothing more than powered-up variations of Super Saiyan. After the fight with Beerus, Goku realized that mastering his normal state and Super Saiyan would raise his level more and sap less strength, so I think he probably won’t become Super Saiyan 2 or 3 any more.

I think that image has been floating around for a few weeks now. Chose not to post it because I could've sworn that I'd seen that figure before without it being attached to the film. It does look like a legitimate scan of something though.
