Bulma is 3-4 in Jaco so are she and Goku the same age now?

This falls under the point of writers of "Never having thought of it before" when writing their original series. It's more or less like the Arale cross-over and how she appears in Dragon Ball. She didn't stick around, she was just there for Toriyama's own goofiness. This again just seems more like something he'd consider a fun twist, but ultimately isn't going to really work into the DBU at all beyond a spoof appearance with his other work.Gyt Kaliba wrote:I admit it's weirder for Bulma to never have mentioned a sibling, compared to Vegeta never having mentioned it (that one makes perfect sense, really), but it still isn't enough to automatically render it AU.
Though I still would have liked an earlier prediction to have turned out to be true, that Tights was Bulma's mom when she was younger (though that wouldn't have answered who the alien Jaco was waiting on was).
Considering that Bulma is a genius, the idea of her forgetting about an older sibling, not having any family photos with her and her parents never talking about her is quite simply impossible unless the whole events surrounding Jaco and 'Tights' resulted in her disappearing from time and thus removing her from the timeline, rendering her non-existent in the first place.
But that doesn't explain the whole Galactic Policeman thing, because if there was such a force in the DBU, they'd be constantly clashing with Freeza's Planet Trade Empire. But again this is just one of those things that never really occurs to writers; the idea of making a separate series that ties into their other works. Frankly it would've been more appropriate to tie Jaco in with Arale and Dr. Slump that shoehorning in Dragon Ball.

Not really on topic, but she's 5 and getting read to turn 6. Her and Goku are both the same ages they have always been.miguelnuva1 wrote:Bulma is 3-4 in Jaco so are she and Goku the same age now?

Wasn't there something said though about the Patrolmen, despite their haughty name, not having anyone anywhere near Freeza or his men's strength levels, and pretty much 'looking the other way'?Zelvin wrote:But that doesn't explain the whole Galactic Policeman thing, because if there was such a force in the DBU, they'd be constantly clashing with Freeza's Planet Trade Empire.

My personal opinion is that the 2nd DLC will finish up the remaining characters that have been hinted at from Sergio's datamine (like the two GT Shenrons) but won't have any Z movie characters.
The 3rd DLC won't have characters at all, since DLC 1 and 2 *specifically* state new characters, while the 3rd DLC simply says "highly exclusive content", which I suspect will be more items, costumes, and maybe game modes.
So unless they announce a 2nd season of DLC, I don't see Gero, 19, Dabura, Cooler, Janemba, Zarbon, Dodoria and Kiwi making it to the roster.
Truth be told, if there is one video game that can constantly have more and more DLC without feeling weird ... it's this one. Dragon Ball has a gigantic library of already established characters so it wouldn't hurt to see more and more of them as time passes. Of course that's a serious toll on the wallet, but ... I'd rather have 3-6 DLCs that enrich the roster and the story mode, rather than having a sequel next year with minimal changes in the game.
My two cents.

Yeah. The Daizenshu says they don't have the power to oppose Freeza or the Saiyans...so they don't. (Unless the Saiyans are children when they are weaker, as per Jaco.)Gyt Kaliba wrote:Wasn't there something said though about the Patrolmen, despite their haughty name, not having anyone anywhere near Freeza or his men's strength levels, and pretty much 'looking the other way'?Zelvin wrote:But that doesn't explain the whole Galactic Policeman thing, because if there was such a force in the DBU, they'd be constantly clashing with Freeza's Planet Trade Empire.
Anyway, getting extremely off topic. Let's take it to the Jaco Thread before we need to be moderated.

Well, Bulma wasn't really keen on Goku or any of her other friends meeting her mom or dad, so I doubt she'd want to bring up her sister considering she never knew much about her and it wouldn't have really changed the plot if she did mention she had a sister. I doubt any of the cast would care if they knew Bulma had a sister.Zelvin wrote:This falls under the point of writers of "Never having thought of it before" when writing their original series. I'm thinking that the movie characters are already in this game. In one of the trophies/achievements, it indicates that there are missions regarding .
Even though the cast is huge, one character I still want to see added is Supreme Kai. Hopefully he's gonna be in the full game when it's released.

I've known Broly has been in the game since the NA livestream. You watch them go through the ult moves list and you'll see Omega Blaster, which is the alt name for Broly's Gigantic Meteor attack. Heck I believe I saw Dashing Kamehameha in there too. So there is GT Goku! The Gohan wrote:I'm thinking that the movie characters are already in this game. Bulma might not remember but their is no way to connect these events. When author tries to connect their new works to their old works they have to make sure that you have to avoid connecting characters that SHOULD know each other. We got Mr. and Mrs. Briefs that have no recollection of their older daughter. No pictures about Tights in Bulma's home or any ANY thing in the manga that can connect those two together. That is why it woul- no it SHOULD have been written with Jaco being an OBSERVER only and have no interactions with the Briefs. This is how authors prevent retconning their old works. If authors can't respect themselves how can they expect to respect others.

Yeah, I know Broly's mean known for a while. I just put it in Spoilers as some people might not have known/have wanted to know about the missions. I initially thought they might have split the DLC: GT/Movies/Japan bonuses. But by him being in the game though, all the main movie villains are probably in as well. I'm thinking all the additional characters might just be GT.

I'm guessing the first place to go would be the BN official website.Careless Saiyajin wrote:How do we purchase this pass and can I purchase it on Xbox live now? My comment has pretty much answered the question regarding the Steelbooks and it's useful to write your comment's response in the proper area, otherwise it just looks odd.sangofe wrote:Thank you for your answer, but dbboxkaifan, but please, don't try to lecture people on how to post... You're not a mod, are you? Also, I was told the *exact* opposite on another forum. Others know if other contries in Europe get the steelcase, too? France, England?dbboxkaifan wrote:The Steelbook case is a Spain (sold out already) and Germany exclusive (US is getting in limited quantities too), and as far as pre-order DLC goes it's Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta.

The Season Passes will probably be in the Add-on sections of the respective networks. The pass wouldn't be available till March when the first DLC pack comes out.Careless Saiyajin wrote:How do we purchase this pass and can I purchase it on Xbox live now? I finally preordered the game yesterday, Trunks Time Traveller edition was sold out so I just preordered the normal game on PS4. I have this gut feeling that the metal cases are sold out so I'll only be able to get Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta and the Saiyan armour.
Does anyone know if Tournament mode works locally? One thing I loved doing with the Budokai and Tenkaichi games was calling a bunch of friends over and playing tournament mode, will this game offer that or is it still unknown?

From the DBZ games fanpage, the strategy guide mentions 47 characters with 200 special moves for your created character in addition to 400 equipment items and 12 masters https://www.hanmoto.com/jpokinkan/bd/9784087797084.html
