Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

Not recognizing a great mass of pink bubble-gum? That sounds hard to believe.
Hey man, just because he's pink doesn't mean he has to be the same guy.

It's not like we know the full scope of the quirks of their personalities and what they find important or interesting. Perhaps Whis did find it important to tell Beerus, but he wasn't concerned with the fact that someone did his job for him, isn't terribly concerned with the lives of his counterpart gods, and thus forgot after millions of years?
My point is that there's a lot of room for possible explanations. It may not be the most rational or responsible behavior, but since when has Dragon Ball's pantheon been dominantly characterized by those attributes?
Well... If Freeza knew about Beerus all along, but still proclaimed himself the strongest in the Universe, then him knowing about Buu too is also believable.
However, the fact that Beerus and Whis seemed to fail to recognise Majin Buu entirely in Battle of Gods, and the fact that Freeza could know about him but they not, still seems a little odd.

I know this was mentioned a couple pages back, but how come Vegeta is directly facing Freeza on the title page....you would think they would place Goku there! Maybe this will be the Vegeta movie after all...

Trusting the site is fairly irrelevant since it's just a blog provider. One blog being a good source of information wouldn't necessarily make another legit because they are all run by different people. It does appear to be official in this case though.

My personal "canon" and BP list. (Coming Soon)
It's so like Toriyama to introduce and hype up a character like Tagoma only for him to be killed at the start, I love it . I'm fine with Freeza knowing about Majin Buu, I don't see how it fucks the story up or anything like that. With Beerus, I can though since he should know about him unless he was sleeping
The Manga adaptation already has me hype. Hope more stuff is revealed.

Any official source providing possible plot updates is appreciated.
With how everyone is placed on that chapter 1 cover, I'm seriously thinking this is The Vegeta Movie masquerading underneath. Main character always faces off against main villain. Vegeta's facing him. Gokû is a little off to the side.
Also bright side: This movie does not gather everyone at a party. Would've been the third time after "Ossu!" and BOG. Glad it's not.
Whoa! That SSj4 Gogeta looks freakin' sweet! Is it me or has the unknown artist improved considerably? If he keeps this up, he has a potential to be better than Yamamuro, art-wise.

I mean, Vegeta was aware of the stuff that was going on during the Buu Arc while he was dead, and as for Freeza's men knowing about him, I can totally see them setting up some kind of satellite or something keeping an eye the place where the leaders of their organization were killed.
If that was how Freeza knew about Boo, why would he need to be informed about Goku's strength? He'd also know that.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!
So I just woke up half an hour ago and the thread is now ten pages longer. After skimming through all the updates, this is the new information I've gathered:
- Tagoma bites the dust anti-climatically ( )
- Freeza knows about Majin Boo ( )
- Goten and Trunks still aren't confirmed to appear in the movie ( )
- Freeza's new form will put him on level with a SSJ God ( )
Did I miss anything else?

-The manga might not completely follow the movie.
So the manga will essentially be a different retelling of the movie? This just further proves my theory that this manga only exists for the sake of adding more incentives for the inevitable Limited Edition home release for the movie.
