Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

It's not productive, but I just find playing around fun, you know. You could say nothing we talk about here is really productive either. But I digress.

Goten probably will be in the movie. Trunks most certainly will, since Frieza talks about revenge against him so much. Maybe he finds both together and think Goku and Trunks reverted to kids, and beats both into a pulp before Goku and Vegeta show up. It's what seems most logical to me at least.

Doesn't this only take place 1 year after BOG? If we're going by Pan, that is. Why is it hard to believe that Marron doesn't look all that much older?

We know it takes place at least 13 months after BoG (9 months for Pan + 4 months for Freeza's training) but we don't know if there's another timeskip in the middle.

I agree it's an overreaction, hence my pointing it out, but I figure the intentional badgering after the fact is only gonna make it worse too, so...well, yeah.

Given that we have #18 confirmed again for this movie, and the last I heard FUNi got McCoy back for the role in Xenoverse, I'm really starting to wonder what they're going to do on the dub side moving forward now too. For this movie they'll likely get McCoy again for consistency with BOG, but I don't know what they're gonna do over on the Kai side of things now.

McCoy may return for Kai Buu saga instead of Colleen. Though it's a bit of a shame. I was never too fond of McCoy's voice back in the old Z dub. Sounded too "30 year old spy chick" to me, and I liked Colleen's portrayal rather well. Although, McCoy did sound much better in BoG, so I have hopes, I guess.

McCoy may return for Kai Buu saga instead of Colleen. Though it's a bit of a shame. I was never too fond of McCoy's voice back in the old Z dub. Sounded too "30 year old spy chick" to me, and I liked Colleen's portrayal rather well. Although, McCoy did sound much better in BoG, so I have hopes, I guess.

I can work with either woman in the role, but for the sake of consistency, I wish they would have stuck with Colleen upon the re-casting, since they seem to be sticking with almost everyone else. At the very least, stick with her in the rest of Kai, FUNi, please!

Anyway, it does seem like we've been getting a lot of info all of a sudden again. That works for me very, very well. A second trailer any time now would definitely be glorious. Heck, I was hoping we'd get a plethora of short little ads like we did for BOG.

Keep in mind Bulma might be exaggerating and that statement is not for all intensive purposes absolute. You could say oh gee I haven't seen you in 10 years just because you only met a few times during that period as opposed to regular visitation.

I think, for Battle Of Gods, they tried recreating the original Dragon Ball Z experience. In doing so, they got back a few of the older actors. If I recall, Ox King was recast in Kai. However, in BoG, he was played again by Kyle Hebert from original Z.

It would be really weird if you did that. It's usually phrased "it feels like it's been ten years", rather than stated absolutely.

Edit: Yup, it was Mark Britten. Totally didn't remember that he was also briefly Oolong and Burter though. I mainly remembered him for Korin and the Grand Kai.

I recall even in the special features for BoG, Sabat said something along the lines of, "For Gohan, I know in Kai we kind of tried to make it more serious, but this is Dragon Ball Z again. We're trying to recapture that feel."

I agree with Gyt. For the past few days, whenever you show up, we end up discussing Goten for three pages. I don't mean to be rude, but can you talk about something else for awhile? Literally anything else.

I've talked about Freeza, Bardock, Vegeta, Super Saiyan God, Gohan, Krillin, Pan, and Power scaling MORE than Goten. Only recently have I started mentioning Goten and Trunks. Not to mention it's no different than when everyone talks about power scaling for 3 pages or Vegeta for 10 pages saying "It's going be a Vegeta movie". But since it's bothering everyone that I want to see a tiny bit of Goten. I'll semi-stop.


In other news: Marron looks young as hell. She's definitely favouring Krillin's DNA. Always wonder why Bulma hair ain't purple like in Path to Power. Vegeta boots are ugly and just screams fake(Sorry but it's terrible Imo), Goku boots are cool, and everyone else is looking good I guess. . Anyone think the ending of DBZ might be rewritten slightly? Anyone think Goku will debut his EoZ GI? It does look similar to his New GI. And lastly. Will Goku ever fight in his Turtle Hermit GI again?
