You know, the fact we have this manga makes me far more accepting of spoilers. It's a little like reading the manga before watching the anime. I'm starting to feel like, as long as I'm getting my information from a piece of official media, I don't so much mind that it's starting to ruin the end product.

Anyone else feeling similarly or are you all not that bothered by spoilers generally?

All that concept of "Anyone can become a Elite if they train hard though" introduced in RoF seems to be a fail to me. Villains training and stuff, so anyone with training can surpass anyone... Maybe if Vegetto trains for 4 months he could surpass a Potara Fusion Beerus + Whis lol

Eh personally all villains are just lazy dipshits to me now. If Cell trained those 10 days, then the world would have been fucked. If Boo came out he'd have stomped Boo then and there too. There's a good reason he didn't, but it just makes me feel the heroes only win cause villains are lazy dipshits who don't train.

Goku could be excited for Uub for a very simple reason.

If he sees how much stronger Freeza got in a mere 4 months, he can surely imagine how strong Uub would be in a few months or years of training. So even if his Base > Super Vegetto, if a enemy who was previously one shot material got to Goku Ass Kicking Level in 4 months, surely the reincarnation of Buu would be capable of far, far more.

I agree.... Will they avoid some interesting spoilers, like Why is Vegeta able to withstand that training if he is a normal being? Or will we get an explanation that he has also become a God? What do you think?

I'm not really bothered by spoilers. I didn't spoil myself much with BoG, but I'm willing to spoil myself for this movie. You can bet I'm gonna be reading the summary of the movie the day it comes out here on the site.

Uh...that started decades ago. All of the Saiyans' talk of Elites and Goku saying that even an elite can be surpassed through hard work and training. Goku wasn't an elite, yet surpassed all the supposed elites.

Hell, Goku'd probably be pleased that Freeza trained his way to a level worthy of fighting him at (though not a fan of the whole evil thing). What's the point for a guy like Goku to gain power only to surpass everyone? He wants foes worthy to fight and push against.

This is pretty much the opposite of the whole "even a low-class can surpass an elite if he trains hard enough" thing Goku had. Now it turns out the naturally gifted are just better at training as well and some minimal training will put them back on top.

Lol, it's true though. Being capable of materializing practically anything you please, should be an incredibly broken technique, but every character that uses it, don't show the required creativity to exploit it against stronger opponents.

Yep. Basically, we're at "Freeza does in 4 months what Goku could not do in dozens of years because no amount of hard work can ever overcome natural gifts. Goku was dumb to even consider that hard work ever meant a damn thing. Neener neener neener". Seriously, at the rate this movie has him improving, he could have just done some light workouts on his spaceship for a few weeks in the 2 years between his fight with Goku and his fight with Trunks. Doing that would have let him completely crush everybody with no effort, thus proving his point that he's just the best because he is and hard work means jack shit.

Re-watch the fight. They both fight evenly.

Using that logic, Goku and Freeza fought evenly. So did Goku and Beerus. Simply because they look to be "on-par" doesn't mean they're using their full power.

That's not quite how it works. Characters have been training since the beginning of this series, and Vegito is the result of a fusion between two trained saiyans, so he wouldn't become stronger than a fusion between Beerus and Whis... ever.

Frieza never once trained in his life, but had a power level of 150,000,000+ from, possibly, birth. Because of this, when he does train, he becomes ridiculously stronger in a short period of time. It's a stupid concept that goes against the hardships of training for the main characters. But training isn't anything new to the series either.

Kid Buu possibly never trained either, so his potential is greater than Frieza's. Cell might have the greatest potential of all the characters in this franchise though.

Yeah it goes to their fusion time instead of their body. Doesn't explain how Boo could somehow have 30 minutes of Gotenks' power after absorbing SSJ3 Gotenks.

Lol, only seconds apart and I agree completely.
I think normally Saiyans need their transformations to reach great power, but with such power-ups as merging of any kind, Elder Kaioshin's Hidden power unlock and Super Saiyan God, they are able to bridge the gap to their transformations much more efficiently and the latter two makes transformations redundant.
