Woah and I thought I was being negative. Toriyama and the new movie are seemingly screwing around with continuity and side characters, but it's not exactly ruining the entire product. It's not like Toriyama started throwing in painfully unfunny jokes, a reoccurring villain who was once cool becoming a laughing stock, having characters suddenly forget they know how to fight, having a big dumb strong guy meat head become someone's personality because as being strong means you have to be stupid, or having the reverse where if you're smart you have to be weak. Toriyama is still doing better than any of the toei stuff as I barely remember most of those other movies. Toriyama is at least memorable to me, while toei is so forgettable I forget most of the movies pretty easily.

I hope he isn't talking about Sonic Boom or general sonic for that matter.

Yep. If you think Dragon Ball is in trouble...holy fuck you have not seen how fucked things are over there. Story, Characters, designs, you name it and there's a problem. I don't even need to include the recent spin off bullshit. There's plenty of shit wrong with the main line.

I'm retired from Sonic; is all that stuff events that really happened to that franchise!? If so, yikes.

If you aren't looking at the comics, it's fucking terrible. We have a lead character who is so painfully unfunny, but yet treated as the most competent member of the cast. We have his technical support who is pretty damn useless. I refuse to call current Tails a sidekick. If anyone thought Gohan had it bad, Tails has it much worse. He can't even move fast which goes against his own damn name pun, and he can't even fight anymore. A single mook is on par with him, and I mean those that he could one shot in the classic's and early times. At least Gohan didn't suddenly go "I don't know how to fight anymore" and then have the equivalent of a Red Ribbon Army goon be too much to handle. Knuckles is the definition of strong guy is dumb. The humour is so shit, they have to go with childish meat head jokes about him being an idiot. Their most popular villain is so shit that everyone constantly belittles how shit he is, and no one takes him seriously. At least Freeza even when he became a joke it made sense as he simply wasn't strong enough anymore. Eggnewman basically is a fuck up lord who builds robots who actually insult him, and is always made the "threat" that literally some random human child can embarrass. The series now caters to only one audience. I can walk around with Mario gear and be proud. I wear Dragon Ball gear in public and am ok with that. I'd be embarrassed to walk around with anything Sonic related.

Seriously Fukkatsu no F is a tearful masterpiece in comparison to that. It's that kind of shit that makes me look at everything wrong with some of the new Dragon Ball stuff and go...well at least it's far more competent then anything going on with Douchemagee, his now lame ass pals, and dipshit enemy. Holy hell if you thought Goku Time was a thing, you have not seen Jesus Chuck Norris God Sonic.

Man, when this movie is released in Japan, I think Ima have to wait till someone subs or dubs it before coming to this site again. With BoG, I ended up knowing the entire plot before I saw the movie.

Oh, I know. I strongly followed that community for years until after Sonic Generations. They finally made a great 3D Sonic game, only to change the formula again with Lost Worlds. Played that one in E3, hated it, and I just... quit. lol. Then, Sonic Boom was announced, which is essentially shovelware made to tie in with the tv show.

I am so, so terribly excited that Funimation is putting this movie into theaters this summer. (Oh, and April, for all you lucky ducks in Los Angeles.) I hope we get at least as many theaters as BOG got. It was so nice to be able to see that in my local theater, instead of having to drive all the way to New York or DC, since Baltimore usually doesn't get anime movies in the theaters. I'd love the same thing for Resurrection F.

I am very surprised they get to premiere it even before its japanese release date. Kinda like how the Budokai games got released in America before Japan, I guess.
