Other questions for Kei17 to answer if he has the time or anyone else who has seen the movie.

1. Do they explain why Gohan can go SSj and not his Mystic/Ultimate form?

2. Does Mr. Satan, Elder Kaioshin and Kibitoshin show up in the movie?

4. In the manga adaption of Revival of F, we saw Freeza in his cyborg body in Hell before getting wished back. Is that scene still in the film or only in the Manga adaption?

5. Do we see Freeza train or is it done off screen?
He doesn't kill Freeza in the manga
I was talking about the manga continuity aka the main continuity for this series. The new movies seem to follow the manga then the anime given how Hell is totally different how we saw it in the fillers and Freeza seems to have his cyborg body after death unlike in the anime fillers & GT.

It's not the first time.
But he had a legitimate reason that time, he better have a good reason this time because there were some cool looking characters in his army.

Goku could have easily let Krillin kill Vegeta if he wanted too, and because they were the ones that hurt and killed his friends, he had every right to do so. Thats why the reason Vegeta is alive is because of Goku giving him a second chance. But maybe also in a chance that he might be able to meet him again for a rematch or something.

Yeah, Future Trunks technically kills Freeza. Goku defeated Freeza but he didn't kill him.

Some folks are saying Blue haired Goku and Vegeta are not real or unsure. Kei is the Blue Haired Goku and Vegeta real?! Is it?! I must know! That's all I ask for!

Nope. He gets killed and his body vanishes completelty. After the ending credits, he is in hell and surrounded by cute stuffed animals and fairies again, and then the movie ends with his screaming "Nooooooooooooo!!!" in English.
So, that's it?! The post-credits scene I was expecting teasing the next movie is just that?! How disappointing Nakao.

About Blue SSJG: Doe Goku/Vegeta get slimmer with this one too?! What's the aura colours?!

I'm not a *huge* Goten fan (impartial to him, though I think he plays a very important part in the manga), but I still can't believe the potential plot point of Freeza mistaking a slightly older than we last saw them Goten and Trunks for Goku and Future Trunks. The first few pages of the first chapter of the companion manga foreshadow that like crazy.
I don't like that idea of "mistaking" them for anyone. Seems a Broly-tier move. Plus I doubt he'd assume Goku shrank and became more childlike. I could see him being a bit confused by Trunks, but I doubt that'd shake him up too much.

Goku's record against main villains from the manga is kinda lousy when you look at it. He's lost against Tao Pai Pai, Tien, King Piccolo, Raditz, Vegeta, Ginyu, #19, Cell, Majin Vegeta and technically Majin Boo. This is really only the second time he's ever killed a manga villain on his own.

How the movie ends?

Goku killing Freeza and then Beerus give him a lecture?

No trip to New Namek to use the DB to restore the order?

They don't need to use the DBs because they have Whis.

Hm, don't want to derail the thread, but I think that might be something exclusive to the dub (possibly Viz as well, I'd have to reread):
It was Goku, and he spoke it directly to Kuririn’s heart. Kuririn wonders aloud what’s going on, and Goku explains that he can’t speak out loud. Then he asks Kuririn to please let Vegeta go, as his one request. Kuririn objects, since he’s killed their friends, and planned on killing everyone in the world. Kuririn believes he’s sure to return once he’s recovered, and Goku says “probably”. Kuririn tells him it’s a big mistake if he thinks this guy will have a change of heart like Piccolo did. Goku knows Vegeta’s incredibly strong, but can’t help thinking that it’ll be a waste for him to die. Goku had intended to train to his limits under Kaiō, but Vegeta turned out to be much greater than him. Fighting with Vegeta made Goku somehow excited, like when he fought Piccolo. He knows that this enjoyment is a bad habit, and attributes it to his Saiyan nature.

Goku insists that next time he’ll definitely surpass Vegeta and defeat him.
“I know it’s a mistake, but please…! For me, and me alone, please allow this…!!” Kuririn bows his head, and then slowly drops Yajirobe’s sword. Then he perks up and says how the Earth sort of owes Goku this request after all the things he’s done, and he tells Goku to kick his ass next time. Vegeta, now fully in his ship, tells them to be prepared, as there won’t be a miracle next time. Then he blasts off. Kuririn walks over and picks up Gohan, who’s still passed out. And Yajirobe gathers himself together and says, “That dumbass… Why didn’t he finish him off…!” Goku apologizes to Kuririn, but he says it’s nothing, and brings up that they might be able to bring everyone back to life. Meanwhile, Bulma and co.’s little plane arrives and starts to land.

I don't have the thread handy right now, but I think there was a discussion not too long ago about how one of the big differences between how Goku was handled in the dub vs in the original version was that Goku's saiyan nature was lost in translation, and he was presented too much as a righteous figure. This could be incorrect (I'd need to hunt down the interview), but I also recently read that Toriyama didn't care for the anime taking that tone as compared to the manga as well. Later in the series Goku does develop some compassion (in seeking to spare Recoome, Jeice, Burter, Ginyu, Freeza), but I don't think that element of his character existed beforehand.

So this is Meta-Coola movie once again. Golden Edition.

Just like Coola, Freeza comes back with a new form, a big army but dies in the end by Goku.
Vegeta saves Goku but not gives the final blow.
What a waste. You could so much more with this Tori.

About the Z-Fighters fighting the weak guys, I'm all for that. I rather see them kick some ass, than being beaten by the main villain and don't do anything more the rest of the movie.
Still, bring Roshi to the battlefield and leave Yamcha behind is buring his character even more. The guy just isn't lucky.

Tell me about it. My lowest expectations for this movie were not as bad as what I've read so far.

Seriously, all of this for Freeza to die in a 90 minute movie? He was brought back into a post-Boo DB world only to be killed by Goku?

No interaction with any of the newer characters? Did he even make any mention of the purple haired Saiyan who killed him?

It surprises me, honestly, that this film has gotten this much more attention then say the first film in nearly 20 years or any of the other new animated things we got. Yo! Son Goku was, in a lot of ways, more special to me then either BOG or this film at the time it was released. It was the first new DB anything in FOREVER. It had Toriyama's involvement.
Nobody except most hardcore fans new about Yo! so that's not surprising at all. And Toei did terrible job promoting and securing deals for BOG, doubts from foreign distributors only added to that. Many old fans are still catching up on this new canon entires, Kai keeps bringing back more fans. It's not that surprising this movie is getting most attention of all XXI century DB projects yet when u look at from a perspective of a non-hardcore fan

Reposting my post from earlier.

Haven't been keeping up with this a lot. I just have some questions that I was hoping to be answered.
1: How do Goku and Vegeta get that blue haired power up?
2: Is there a good interaction between Beerus and Freeza?
3: Why is Jaco there?

Kind of failed in the fanservice department. Vegeta doesn't get the victory shot. Gohan's a pansy. No interaction with Buu or Trunks. No fusion. New transformations that will likely get backlash.

...Yeah. Exactly what fanservice? Frieza coming back only to die? I don't exactly think Frieza fans are going to jump out of their seats. =P
