I'm looking at the animation in those shots of Vegeta and I can see why people said that part was easily the best of the movie. The animation is off the charts in those shots! I mean just look at the detail in the shot where Vegeta's about to finish Freeza with a ki blast. Just amazing!
I didn't think I'd be hyped to see this movie, but I kind of am now.

Better animation than BOG. Thank you so much Toei.
Dragon Ball deserves the best treatment it can get. Now, we should get a better composer.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

I think she's probably threatening Sorbet not to hurt her or something, by screaming she's Trunks' girlfriend, seems possible.Gyt Kaliba wrote:Watching the video now, and did I just hear Mai mention Trunks? IS THERE MORE TO MAI AND TRUNKS?
Loved the trailer, great animation.

Wicked awesome screenshots of the movie.
I thought Norihito Sumitomo did an excellent job in regards to the BOG score. He just next to no budget in regards to his score of the Dragon Ball Kai Majin Boo arc.FortuneSSJ wrote:Better animation than BOG. Thank you so much Toei.

He definitely did a great job with BOG. Buu arc is okay (the disco soundtrack is worse than shit though).Lord Beerus wrote: I thought Norihito Sumitomo did an excellent job in regards to the BOG score. He just next to no budget in regards to his score of the Dragon Ball Kai Majin Boo arc.
But overall, nothing over the top compared to what we got back in the day.
I said that too, because I didn't like the soundtrack used in Shenlong scene, already.

It sounded like a BoG soundtrack in that scene to me.FortuneSSJ wrote:He definitely did a great job with BOG. The animation and music are quite good indeed, I especially like the last bit with them trading blasts.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Wow finally some shots of how SSGSS Vegeta looks in the actual movie , tbh I still think the blue suits Goku a bit more , although to begin with I thought it would be the other way round.
BOTH LOOK AWESOME THOUGH
NEED TO SEE THIS ASAP

Pan looks like Bulla.

Not to rain on anyone's parade but all this talk of stunning animation. How many frames per second we talking here? And attention to detail? Probably nowhere as good as a Ghibli production. But you don't like that subject matter, no? I like all animation but some of it is technically better than others. Probably why i've been following it so closely for the past 40+ years...

Toriyama will retcon it. Pan will look like Bulla and Bulla like Pan now.Doctor. wrote:Pan looks like Bulla.
Since when Ghibli animated Dragon Ball?! We're talking about Toei past works here, and how this is better than what we got in 2013 in BOG and last years in any OVA.dougo13 wrote:Not to rain on anyone's parade but all this talk of stunning animation. Pan was the highlight of the video, at least something new to see.
And, liked how the soldiers were around... Kinda reminded me the classic Bardock against everyone.

Toei's animation has never been at the level of Ghibli's and never will be. We're saying the animation looks good compared to other Toei/Dragon Ball animated material, of course.dougo13 wrote:Not to rain on anyone's parade but all this talk of stunning animation. Stunning animation for me would be full 24 FPS. We can dream...
You'd think in this day of computer generated imagery that things would have gone down in price. To an extant though they have gone up. Notice the shift in SPFX production. Much is being done in India these days to save money. Where will it all end. The only good thing will be local productions from those countries will benefit from the new talent brought into the industry and that's always a good thing...

Probably the part where Vegeta got pissed watching Goku and Freeza fight and wanted a turn but later declined after seeing Freeza go gold form.shinmaru wrote:Bejita smacking Goku?
