Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

I'm not going to quote and try bringing up the whole thing again, but I'll just say this - there is just about always a positive side to something (especially when it comes to entertainment), it's just a matter of looking for it. It's a pity there are some that flat refuse to do this and instead just roll around in their own negativity.

Anyway, I'm glad to know Ayres is definitely coming back as Freeza again! Gonna be great to hear him in the role once more. I only wish even if it was just for a con or something, we'd get to hear how he'd handle some of the more memorable filler with the character, like bantering with Cell in GT, and him watching the Kid Boo fight from Hell.

Just saw the leaked Vegeta vs Freeza footage. Not all that good IMO. Seems like a very basic beat down which isn't bad but it's feels rather lackluster. Wasn't a good scene but wasn't a bad scene. Rather..an average scene. 6.5/10 or 7/10. Could have been much better or seems more satisfying. Didn't feel like a Vegeta moment but more of a filler moment to past time until Freeza to blow up Earth and Whis reverse time. Goku vs Freeza (leaked footage) looked so much cooler(ignoring the ugly forms/states that they were in) fighting wise and is something I'll edit to in an AMV.

Leaked footage of Z Warriors vs Freeza men was pretty cool.

Yeah, the Vegeta vs Freeza fight was relatively underwhelming for something praised as "one of the best moments in the franchise". It was still good, but eh. Fight choreography on the leaks is on point, though, especially the fight against Freeza's army.

I'm worried none of the leaks have a piece of animation that rivals the SSJ Goku vs Beerus one in BoG. The Base Goku vs Freeza fight had pretty average animation and that one 2-second scene of Goku vs Vegeta in the sky had really, really, really bad animation.

Well, it's nothing new. New characters have been stealing the spotlight from older characters since the beginning of the manga.

Honesty it wasn't even one of Vegeta's top moment. It's just average to me. It's in the same play field as Vegeta vs Ginyu (both times). Wasn't bad but wasn't overly impressive overall. Possibly better in movie form.

That twitch stream rocked! Sean & Chris were on fire at times! - so great to see the passion oozing out of them for Dragon Ball Z. Oh, and the small matter of Mr. Ayres returning was just a little bit awesome.

Twitch stream? What twitch stream? Did they record it? I'd love to see if they talked about the movie or whatever.

It's a really cool moment when you see all the Goku part beforehand. It provides the contrast that makes the Vegeta scene as cool as it is in context.

There's a lot more awesome scenes of Goku and Freeza's fight that sadly wasnt included in the amv, if u make one can you share it to me? the theme MAXIMUM THE HORMONE - 「F」fits their fight so much

Just heard about the announcement for Chris Ayres as Freeza. I knew there was no hype, but I mean, it's FUNi. Look at those Blu-ray seasons. Anyways, my hype is maximum. Now all we need is a release date.

I do agree there was no need for this SSGSS form, Freeza sure make sense why he'd need a new form but for the Saiyans I am not so sure, but I am glad it happened though Blue being my favourite colour and all, but I hope this is final new Saiyan transformation.

Again, what folk seem to miss is it's not a new form. It's a powered-up version of Super Saiyan, the color change is due to the god ki being used for it.

I would have agreed a few months ago but after watching One Piece I've got a lot more appreciation for what Toriyama has done and continues to do with his secondary characters.

Sure his moment wasn't long but on the other hand he got to defeat a main villain and be on the same level of power and importance to the story as the main hero which is something I'll never see in One Piece which is surprising considering how long the story is yet it's been moving in the same way from the beginning till the end of Skypiea and based on what I've read that's how it's still moving.

Should have specified "fight scenes", then. I can't remember Vegeta doing something similar to what he does against Freeza before, and even if he indeed does, it is just to get his ass beaten right after his shiny moment runs out. All his entrances, though... Are always memorable.

I thoroughly enjoyed Vegeta's beat down of Freeza. Don't really care if it was short. And that walk. Reminds me of SSJ2 Gohan vs Cell. Oh and that Bruce Lee kick at the end was sick. Not to mention the new form looks incredible on Vegeta.
