New commercial staring Vegeta for cup of noodles, I just saw and on anime news network. Wasn't sure where to put this, sorry if already posted.

Doh, just saw it at animenewsnetwork.com and now it gone. It had vegeta fighting giant vegetables, and even final flashing a giant piece of lettuce.

Welp. Technically I've seen stranger things, but this is still easily the weirdest thing I've seen this week. And I saw a guy setting a piano on fire this week. Vegeta fighting vegetables is heck of a lot weirder.

Kei17 theorised on Twitter that the music you hear in this commercial may potentially be from Dragon Ball Super. You can hear the vibraslap a little after 0:13 in the video - it's very Kikuchi-esque.

Though it's more than likely just stock music for the commercial, it's an interesting theory! Certainly sounds far more appropriate to the series than anything Sumitomo has done.

That BGM sounds way to dramatic to just be for the commercial. I'm thinking it may be from Super, as well. Then again, maybe I'm just being too optimistic.


On another note; If the animation in Super is constantly at the same level as that commercial, I can't say I'll be disappointed.

The timing is really bad. Vegeta's movements are stiff and move in bad arcs. This is probably how 98% of the action cuts will look in Dragon Ball Super.

Considering it specifically says "Dragon Ball Z x Cup Noodle," I doubt it's in any way, shape, or form related to Super.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the animation in Super is subpar. In fact, I expect that to be the case after watching Sailor Moon Crystal.

There's definitely flaws, for sure. I'm just saying, as a median. It could be worse.

Not immediate relation, for sure. But the people who worked on this animation could very well have been/will be working on Super. And a few people are speculating that the BGM used could be a preview of what's to come in Super (A long shot, for sure, but not unreasonable).
