Pretty sure that's his ultimate like stage alluded to in the novelization. He does not fancy level 3.

Anyone hope that Vegeta will lose? It would be something different for once. I still wish Freeza won then Goku.

Way to suck up to the boss, Raditz. Very subtle.

Is Kakarot only a SSJ at his best? It always seemed to me that he and his Vegeta were roughly on par with each other. In fact, Kakarot says on this page that he had hoped to attain SSJ3 before Vegeta, suggesting he wasn't far behind. Universe 18 Vegeta might have his work cut out for him.

Think Vegeta had a good edge on him. Vegeta has SS2 and we haven't seen that from Kakarot and when Kakarot said he wanted to get that form before Vegeta, Raditz said "as if you'd be able to".

Dear readers, on wednesday, june 24, instead of the page, there will be a minicomic somewhat special: it'll tell about a contest on our Facebook and Twitter, from which some of you will be drawn in the public of the tournament. Be there :)
Seems like there's going to be a contest. I wonder if it's going to be art related?

Also, does anyone know what date the next special will most likely be? I'm thinking the end of this month if I'm following the update patterns right.

Main chapters are about 25 pages long. So, given the fact that this chapter's title page was 1030, the last one will be probably 1055 (maybe 1054, maybe 1056-7 but something around those lines). This means that (barring any unforeseen occurrences) the next special chapter will begin somewhere in the first-second week of July.

I thought he said in the novelization that he didn't bother going for SSJ3 because it wastes too much ki and stated he would get stronger another way. Considering how nerfed SSJ3 got in this series and how Salagir does the Super Saiyan power multiplications. Hell he makes it imply that Oozaru and SSJ have the same power boost, especially after that Bardock vs. Raditz fight.

That was never implied. We don't know the difference between Radditz's and Bardock's base power, and even though Bardock didn't one shot Oozaru Radditz, he defeated him easily, with his future flashes being the main cause for the fight not ending sooner. Nor do I know where exactly in the comic are the multiplications mentioned or explained.

Vegeta is not taking that guy for an oaf. He's taking him as target practice for his Big Bang Attack. 8)

Considering how big Kakatrot is atm Vegeta must be using target practice for vital spots. XD

Well, considering the fact that Raditz had all of his speed when he fought U13 Bardock, it stands to reason that Kakarotto is probably much faster in his SSJ Oozaru state. I think Vegeta will win, but he definitely has his work cut out for him.

BTW, did U3 Bardock have his tail? If so, dude has to be kicking himself for not thinking of this in his fight with King Cold.

What is Golden Ape Kakarot supposed to be doing in the last panel?

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I thought he flicked Vegeta with his finger? Vegeta has disappeared in the third panel.

If he's gonna start pulling pages out of Freeza's book, I'd recommend he get a giant watch first.
