Can someone tell me please what the hell is the context of a 9-Star Dragon Ball? And why we need one?

Could it be the last Shadow Dragon?

There's a 9 star ball in the cover of the chapter.

Either a fuck up or it's hinting at something. Seeing as how it was Toyble who drew it, people are thinking it's on purpose. I believe it was a mistake, personally.

You think Toyble, who is a huge Dragon Ball fan, forgot there were 7 dragon balls, and that no one else caught it? It seems doubtful to me.

It would be Shanpa (or Champa), since the last syllable is パ

Yeah, I'm surprised this hasn't been pointed out more.

That was my bad on the Shanpa bit, because I just typed it based on "Champ" instead of looking back to the actual Japanese for reference.

Not including the "a" on Champ(a) was my choice though, because looking at the French and Japanese pronunciations, I wasn't entirely sure how much of the latter half of champagne/shampan/シャンパン came from the pa/パ or the n/ン. It seemed like chopping off the end lost most of the umph from the second half of the word and I questioned how hard the "a" would be pronounced and if it was necessary. :/

I'm sorry, how does that make any sense? Imagine if we were talking about Avengers. Me linking a scene from the movie that someone torrented in 1080p HD Blu-ray rip? Perfectly acceptable. Me linking a camrip of the exact same scene? "Illegal and against guidelines."

Everything's basically a case-by-case basis. We acknowledge it doesn't make much sense. We do the best we can do with what we have and to protect both ourselves as a website as you as a visitor.

The Avengers scenario doesn't make much sense, because most countries get a legit home release of said film, most (all?) of which contain their own official translations where necessary/appropriate.

The "bad scanlations" thing is two-fold with Dragon Ball: the scanlations out there are historically of laughable translation quality, and this website resides in a country where there is a legitimate, licensed release.

Aww, I liked Champ better because in addition to "champagne" it also doubled as pun on "champion" (or even "chomp"). Similar to how Beerus was a double pun, on "beer" and "virus".

One of the V-Jump "Scoop" boxes below the page showing off the art from the website uses a masculine term from the above text to reveal a name. It doesn't say who specifically as far as I can tell, but Girl!Whis is...well, presumably a girl. So that only leaves Fat!Beerus...

No. You want the full chapter, you'll have to find it yourself. We don't promote piracy here. It's in the rules you agreed to prior to signing up, and breaking the rules will get you in trouble.

So I read the first chapter and I must say it's pretty good. It's the kind of stuff I want to see done with this series.
