Chris Sabat just said that they dont have the "authority" to work on Super at the moment. Truth or not, thats the final answer. :/

So it's definitely on Toei then, they're withholding it from Funimation.

Everyone so worried about Funimation similucast. How about other languages or countries? Latin America love DBZ. Could they have one or perhaps a French one?

People think about FUNimation because English is the common language here, and FUNi tends to get stuff before Madman or Manga UK. They're also the only ones who reliably produce an English dub.

But at this rate, I think it's quite likely another company could get the rights to simulcast Super in another language or country before FUNi ever does. Toei may have some crazy demands for them, thinking "America = billions of Hollywood money" or something.

Really, Toei should know the state of the Internet and the fandom by this point. People want to see their product, and if they're not providing a legitimate means of doing so--whether free or paid--people will find another way, and the longer Toei puts off providing something official, the more revenue they'll bleed.
