Honestly: Get the DS Lite, sell it and get a PSP. I say this because:

1) Shin Budokai was actually better than I expected. Plus you can go online without buying extra accessories, unlike the DS.
2)DS isn't very durable... I've had my current one for less than a year and this piece of crap is dying on me already..! The trigger buttons are WORTHLESS and granted the price is low but to keep it in good shape, you have to buy the extra accessories for it. Don't get me wrong, I keep my stuff in good condition, but this is absolutely unacceptable.[/rant]

Seeing how you mentioned your situation on not being able to import games and such, I'd just suggest Shin Budokai.

I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Well, I'm not getting a DS for the purpose of playing Dragon Ball games on it. I'm getting one because I want one and not a PSP.

I'm a big Nintendo fanboy.

I'd just like to point out that you can get online with the DS without buying extra accessories, you just have to buy an extra accessory if you want to surf the net using your DS. A mild difference.

You can surf the net with a DS? Tell me more!

Not that I really would, since I have a wi-fi laptop, but...

I was thinking the same thing, I have actually been looking for a place to get it imported (tired of being screwed by eBay).

Heh, the only reason I'd get a PSP is for Shin Budokai and to emulate old NES/SNES games on it.

I wouldn't sell my DS for one though. Sure, SSW2 wasn't the greatest, but there are going to be many more DB DS games coming soon. Also, great non-DB games are already available/coming out for the DS.

You can go online with extra stuff but you can do that with the PSP as soon as you buy that. Kaboom, do a quick google/ebay search on DS Web Browser and you'll find what you need (this was released in Japan already)..I'm a Nintendo fanboy too, but the tragedy with my DS is really, really pissing me off. :x If Zelda and Smash Bros. was for any other system, Nintendo would have nothing.[/rant]

I feel that with the DS and Wii that Nintendo is running around screaming: "Look what we did! It's innovative! Buy it!" When in fact they have no fucking idea what they're doing. I hate the Wii, HORRIBLE aiming mechanics. The DS has potential, but no game really seems to take advantage of the touch screen.

Why do you do this Nintendo?

DBZ:SW2 is a fun game imo. I play a lot of fighting games, and while this didn't have traditional SF-like controls (maybe thats a good thing actually), I very much enjoyed it. I liked the character specific team super moves and the support characters and thought that overall it was a very enjoyable game.

Oh, and to get a PSP now would be a little.... "unwise" I guess I should say... The DS has been running circles around it, and with the announcement of Dragon Quest IX being a DS exclusive, PSP was pretty much officially killed with that announcement.

Oh and:
If Zelda and Smash Bros. was for any other system, Nintendo would have nothing.
If FFXIII and MGS4 was for any other system, Sony would have nothing.
