@ACCloud: Whoa that DOES look like Goku, better than Vegeta the 3rd I guess.

Looking through this thread, its surprising how many colouring and consistency errors there were in DBZ.
I suppose its one of those things you don't really notice unless its pointed out.

I found this to be one of the most interesting threads around, but obviously Hujio has been pretty busy.
Maybe we could help out by posting some images? I really don't want this topic to die, it's a really resourceful and good one

This topic point is only covering re-animated scene from 19-26! I think it's already covered in this topic!?
Re: Re-animated Scene Archive: 19-26 Added! (Image Heavy)
I'm pretty sure it's for all of Dragon Ball Kai, not just up to episode 26. Hujio just hasn't updated it.Goku100xKamehameha wrote:This topic point is only covering re-animated scene from 19-26! I think it's already covered in this topic!?

Episode 60, scroll down to re-animated scenes!
Re: Re-animated Scene Archive: 19-26 Added! (Image Heavy)
Thanks. I don't get most of these re-animations... Either they're as good as the original, or worse. None are really better >_> Why didn't they just keep the original frames?

Not that I'm confirming what Goku100xKamehameha is saying, but just because film is in storage doesn't mean it's impervious to damage. Film is damaged all the time, be it from improper storage conditions to natural disasters to types of film stock that are simply more prone to aging than others. So, yeah, there are plenty of ways that film can be damaged and quite easily too.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:Aren't they in storage or something. All of these scenes with so many flashes being reanimated keeps reminding me of the infamous Porygon episode from Pokemon that caused thousands of children in Japan to get seizures. That must be why they changed all of those scenes.
I never noticed scenes of Kai being re-done but after reading people's complaints I have began to notice them and sometimes they can be so out there. I really wish they would have blended them in better.

I don't get it. Most of the stuff they redrew looks the same as the original. Which makes me wonder... why even go there and redraw it? I understand energy attacks to make them more digital and "cool" looking, I understand if something looks off (like a character model, etc.) but... how are they going to take an off character model and redraw it... as an off character model?

Sometimes it's to get rid of the lighting effects, to avoid any seizure incidents like the Pokemon episode.
Sometimes it's to fix colors, like Vegeta's incorrect color when we first see him.
...and sometimes we think they just post a bunch of shots from the episodes on a wall, throw darts at them, and redraw wherever they land
