If they got Adult Swim to air the recent Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood then I seriously doubt they didn't at least try to get Kai on cartoonetwork.Chuquita wrote:Or maybe Funi never offered Kai to CN to begin with?

Honestly I thought Avatar was better than Dragon Ball. *puts up flame shield*Hellspawn28 wrote:Finaly something on Nick that is not stupid, or painful to watch.

What difference would it make, really? It's not like a one thousand difference is a huge detriment to the canon or anything. And the over nine thousand line is a fan favorite meme. It's only one line of dailouge, I doubt an acknowledgement of a fan joke is the worst of our worries for a dub.Chuquita wrote:I hope they stream the uncut version if they're airing the edited one. He's getting my hopes up for "8000", and yet, I can't help but feel we'll get stuck with the memey 9000 instead. >_<
The hopes are there though.

Yeah, I want them to leave "over 9000" in.
Re: U.S.'s Nicktoons TV Adds Dragon Ball Z Kai in May
Anyway, I do think it feels really odd to be having Dragon Ball airing on a station other than cartoonetwork. Dragon Ball, Z, GT, the tv specials, most of the movies and even the "Ultimate Uncut" redub of the Saiyan to Ginyu sagas aired on the station. It just goes to show that cartoonetwork has really changed.
In fact, the station is so different now that it'd be just a bit weird if Kai did air on it now. The only anime on cartoonetwork now is Bakugan(did I spell that right?) and I think Pokemon. You'd never guess that a block called Toonami use to run a wealth of anime. Even the station's late night block has reduced it's anime to one day per week affairs and they've only had like one new series in the past year or so.
Like the other users said, I was actually expecting this to go to Disney XD. I hear they have Naruto and Digimon. Still, Nick seems kind of odd. the only action series I can think of they've had is Avatar and it's no where near as action packed as Dragon Ball.

Disney XD would have been good too. They could air Kai right after Naruto, it would be awesome.Vashkey wrote:Anyway, I do think it feels really odd to be having Dragon Ball airing on a station other than cartoonetwork. To be precise, the only anime series left on Cartoon Network are Bakugan Battle Brawlers, Bakugan New Vestroia, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.Vashkey wrote:Anyway, I do think it feels really odd to be having Dragon Ball airing on a station other than cartoonetwork. What about Doug, Ren & Stimpy, or those anime that used to be on Nick/Nick Jr. in the 80s/early 90s?Hellspawn28 wrote:Finaly something on Nick that is not stupid, or painful to watch.

Anyone see the early promo yet?
EDIT: Seen it now, nothing much, but it does show part of the OP, no premire date as of yet.

There's a promo? Is it on Nicktoons or online?
