Ah true, but yea the same developers who have been churning the same stuff out with better graphics for the past 5 years.

That's exactly what I was afraid would be the case. A DBZ game should NOT be lacking in power!

Wishful thinking, I know.

I would buy this game day one if adult GT Goku was in it.

That is why I love Burst Limit. You can feel the power in kicks and punches.

I'm not getting my hopes up. It looks good sure, but after the last game I'm left think about the old saying ; "You can polish a turd. But when you're done, all you have is a shiny piece of shit."

Quote from the front page: "We are being promised about 90 characters (the first game had just over 70, which includes all of the various transformations when appropriate" from this alone I can tell Bandi's mentality hasn't changed and this game isn't going to change much. Slightly pretty character models with the same backgrounds, 90 characters and that seems about it for now(but something tells me that's going to be all the real changes). If they fix the damn camera then maybe I'll be more enthused but right now I'm really bummed that we are getting a Raging Blast 2 instead of a Burst Limit 2, at least that game had potential.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I'm sure it's been asked before, but I may as well say it... ahem...

WHY?

Raging Blast wasn't that good, it sounds like it didn't sell much, it's still unattractively expensive, and it seems to be geared mostly towards fan service. Who decided that this game needed a sequel? At this point, the only thing that will get me interested in this game is that it will turn out to have the world's easiest Platinum trophy, like, even easier than Assassin's Creed 2, or they reveal that the 2 what if characters are Super Saiyan versions of Pan and Bra. Wishful thinking, I know.

I think the reason this game got the green light over Burst Limit two was because of production cost. As far as characters go, Spike has been coping and pasting characters from one game to another since BT2. Sure Raging blast had that next gen shine(sort of) the models still looked and played like the ones in BT3. Not to mention, if you look at the background in that screen shot they bare the same textures of that in the first game with no alterations at all.

It probably cost spike and Bandi a few hundred dollars to make this game: tweak the graphics a little, throw in 20 more characters, add Broly and call it a new game. Sure Raging Blast bombed in sales but it probably made back more than it cost to make in the first place(and the same probably can't be said for Burst Limit). I'm sure Burst Limit cost more to make and the sales weren't on par with the costs, not to mention Dimps has been working on bigger more credible titles so I doubt they would waste their efforts on "another Dragonball game." Lets face it, the general gaming pubic is sick of Dragonball games and we have Spike to thank for that.

The sad thing is, these 20 plus characters we are getting in RB2 were probably all available in BT3 and all the new game play tweaks and "improvements" are all going to address problems that SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE(Like when they added in game transformations in BT2, something available in EVERY Budokai game in the past)!

Well I'm sort of excited but when I look at those images I say dammit more of the same, I mean sure we get that in every DB game but these look exactly the same as RB1. Besides that though I'm really looking forward to the new shit. But you know whats funny were getting two new Spike games this year RB2 and Tag vs. I guess Dimps is too busy to crap out another D game ( yes BL was crapped out because it was just Shin Budokai with PS3 make up.) I'm going to be pissed if all we get out of this games is upped graphics and more characters.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

I just can't beleive they haven't fixed the hit-connection problem yet. Goku is supposed to be punching Vegeta in the gut in that pic, but his fist is at Vegeta's forehead. If something like that made it onto the game announcement scan, I have serious doubts about this game.

I think they're gonna wanna fix the camera before fixing hit detection :P

And usually, when you're hitting someone in the game, isn't it going too fast to notice?

No. Actually the exact hit that is in that scan is pretty slow(it pauses at time of impact). Which is why that and at least the chraged smash attacks need to connect better.

Or the gut punch already happened and his going for another hit which make sit look like a error.

There are more difference between Budokai 3 and Shin Budokai than the Sparking series could ever hope to achieve.
Okay then, so how can BT2 be a rehash of BT1 and BT3 a rehash of BT2, when they actually improve on the source material.

And FYI, Budokai 3 and Infinite World play exactly the same minus beam struggles, Hyper Mode and Dragon Rush. If anything is a rehash, it's Infinite World.

Actually there's a lot of differences to Infinite World's gameplay and many improvements made than just those differences you listed. But yes it is still a rehash. All of the games in each specific series is a rehash of their predecessor by building up on the mechanics and gameplay already produced for the previous release. They're barely ever built from the ground up excluding the first installments of each series(obviously).

Oh yes, I'm sure it's Spike's fault with their four games and not that there's been nine other console and sixteen handheld games since 2002.
