He's doing comics now?!
BTW: googled for the pic I just asked for. Look at this beatuy:

I'm assuming that Gambit is Squall and Sabretooth is the guy who cuts open Squall's face at the beginning.
Does Gambit remind anyone else of Gene Starwind in that picture?
And if J Michael Strajinski can do Spider-Man, then Joss Whedon can do X-Men. He's got to do something now that Angel's cancelled. (I do know that he's getting rid of the leather and bringing back the old costumes, or variations thereon. Don't know anything else, though.)

BTW: Angel may not be cancelled. WB was expecting this season to be its worse. So far it's its best. As a result, they're reconsidering the cancellation. Even though I love this season too, for some reason I still want it cancelled.

The other guy's name fighting Squall was Seifer by the way. Time to brush up on your Final Fantasy knowledge my friends!
And yes I guess he does resemble Gene Starwind a little bit. I find he looks more like one of the typical leading men fronm a Disney animated feature, like Tarzan.
Anyway, I'm just pleased that Gambit will be inthe next X-Men movie! He's such a great character. Plus I want them to ditch Mr. "Iceman" Bobby and put Rogue with Gambit. It's just not right otherwise!

I just want them to get rid of Iceman period in the movies. Either that or really give him a personality change. He's just too OOC.Jerseymilk wrote:The other guy's name fighting Squall was Seifer by the way. I imagine that Gambit is likely to be a lot older that Rogue in the new X-Men film. He can't really be the same character, and cool, if he's younger than 20.
And FFVIII was rubbish. Well, not rubbish, but I couldn't bring myself to continue playing it. Not when I had Grandia, the greatest game of all time. Fact.

Dun know about the others, but I have my mom. Though I can't buy GNs that often. I usually only get Gravi the second it comes out. Though I'm determined to get all of Chobits, as soon as I find that damn book 4...Zackarotto wrote:I only like Seifer when he's around Zell. Wait, what are we talking about?
How do you guys get all of this money for your GNs?!? I can't even buy a can of Monster...
By, y'know, working. It's a crazy concept, but it does work.Zackarotto wrote:How do you guys get all of this money for your GNs?!? I can't even buy a can of Monster...
(Having said that, I've only bought One Piece graphic novels recently. I still have my eyes on the 20th anniversary Masterpiece Prime/Convoy figure, which will make a servere dent in my wallet.)

*sigh* I'm still saving up for that.
And I don't buy that many graphic novels either. Can't afford to between anime, school, video games, and everything else, like clothes(very important).
And B-kun, I'm afraid I don't know what OOC means. You'll have to enlighten me. And I don't care if they make Gambit older than Rogue! Put him with her anyway! Who cares?! I certainly wouldn't find it offensive.

OOC means Out Of Character. ^^; I'm a roleplayer, so I pick up terms like that.Jerseymilk wrote:*sigh* I'm still saving up for that. And I don't buy that many graphic novels either. Can't afford to between anime, school, video games, and everything else, like clothes(very important).

I don't mind it, since he's portrayed as being such a different character, it's okay.
On the other hand, Scott's character in the movies pisses me off. He is written as a complete twat, and he really isn't.
Rogue's character in Evolution used to annoy me too (a Goth? WTF?) But it's actually grown on me, and I can see what they were trying to do. I imagine a lot of people would become like that if they couldn't actually touch anyone.

If the girl was wearing rubbish clothes, you'd never wonder what was beneath the clothes in the first place. It's shallow, but true. Men are horrible.Dayspring wrote:Clothes aren't that important on a girl. Well, not to guys anyway.
On the other hand, having seen women's TV shows and read women's Magazines (there wasn't much else at hand in the Dentists), I think that they are far worse. Men's magazines are full of stuff on how to pull women, and women's are full of information on how to get pulled? Go, equal rights girls!
If Gambit is in X3 then he should be like a year or two older than Rogue. That way it's still legal for them to be together, and you know she'd be into him instead of Little Baby Bobby. Too bad X3 is going to be about butchering the Shi'Ar and Phoenix sagas.

Really. I thought they were doing the Pheonix saga in a different way.
(And can I say that it was handled really badly in X2? Sure, comic fanboys got to scream "Pheonix! Pheonix!", but for non fans, it would have been as confusing as hell. There was not set-up, no explanation, nothing. It was fanwank of the worst kind).
And Rogue is, what, 16 in X-Men 1? And X2 occurs right after, so she'll be the same age. There's no way Gambit can be 19. That personality on someone that young will just make him annoying and obnoxious. He needs to be at least 26 in order to be cool.

First off, I hate women's magazines. There a load of bull. Second, just bring Gambit in and make them friends for two years and then, voila! Time to get together! I agree that they're not doing Scott's character right. He was especially ignored in the second film. I did like the fact that it gave Storm a chance to show how in charge she be though. Plus I wish they would do more about Wolverine's past. I loved reading "Origin".
