FUNI fan boys and girls stop crying, I'm sure you'll have your beloved voice actors in the movie hahaha... even though I'd like there to be a new cast.

They can, but the movie could still do just fine by playing it in select theaters and on home video. People forget that the DBZ movies were already fan subbed and downloaded on the web a decade before they got license here in the US. All of the 13 DBZ movies sold well in the US on DVD and Blu-Ray despite fans already downloading fan subs from people like Anime Lab years ago.

Not really necessary to take this kind of attitude.

Additionally, I don't know how much more clear I need to make this: talk of active or willing piracy, especially with regard to this large a scale a production, will not be tolerated. As I've said before, I'm really not in the mood or position to be handing over personally-identifying information about you folks. I'm not going to step up to the plate to defend you. People you don't think are reading this thread are reading this thread.

Exactly. Count me among them. No offense.. and I don't want to sound like a jerk, but if I feel like I was forced to watch it for free due to an unreasonable wait, I'm likely to never pay for it when it does come out.
It might be better not to state publicly that you plan to pirate the movie. We can have a safe discussion about the ramifications of people doing such (because, as others said, it's part of a statistic at this point that companies need to fact in), but why put yourself in danger with your ISP?

I'm going to get the Japanese Blu-ray to this, because that's how much I want to see it. But I'll also take a page from originalbillis' book and see a fansub. But even if I do see a fansub, if FUNimation or Fox releases it, I will buy the US Blu-ray as well. Hopefully, the JP Blu-ray has a digital copy. Do the Japanese do digital copies? But I will support this film. I can't see myself not supporting it.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Shouldn't they use the cast that American fans have been hearing for like...the past couple years? Just seems like the right thing to do. :eh:
Maybe. But, to assume Fox is familiar with the TV show to the extent that they'll reach out to a dubbing company based in Texas is... fairly presumptuous.

That was a rhetorical question. He was referring to G.I. Joe: Retaliation because someone tried to argue that, since it was delayed for a good chunk of time and still did well in theaters, Battle of Gods would as well, even though it will be all over the Internet. Meanwhile, Retaliation wasn't available in any capacity until now.

Heh, well, like I said.. I'm definitely going to buy the movie when it comes out, since i have no need to download it without paying. Pesky little brothers and their tendency to post on my forums. I guess I shouldn't have checked the "keep logged in" button when I recovered my password.

Regardless of the time it takes to get this a US release, I'm probably going to end up buying both copies (unless Fox or FUNi come out with an announcement sooner than I think..doubt it) just because I want to see this movie so much. I'll pay whatever stupid ridiculous cost (maybe) to have a BluRay copy of any language.

And Hi everyone I'm new, lurked here a couple years off and on and a lot recently. Decided to join the fun!

The Blu-ray is going to play in U.S. DVD players? I didn't know that technology existed, but I am really interested in seeing the application.

Also, Japan and U.S. have the same Blu-ray region, if I'm not mistaken.

Blu Ray's only play in blu ray players. If your blu ray is playing in your DVD player, then surprise! You own a Blu ray player. And yes, both Japan and the US produce and play region A blu ray.

Look i'm not into the technical terms you guys use. All I know is I have one little black box that if I put DVDs or Blue Rays in it, it will play either of them just fine. I call it my DVD player because it plays DVDs.

I wish you could play Blu-Rays in regualr DVD players, just so I wouldn't have to worry about owning both formats if I feel like letting a friend borrow it who doesn't have a Blu-Ray player or something. I know a lot of Blu-Rays come with DVD copies anyway--hell, a friend of my brother got The Hobbit on Blu-Ray even though he doesn't have the player because it was the same price as the DVD by itself, so he kept the DVD and gave the Blu-Ray to my brother, which was really nice--but some of them don't, especially the cheaper ones.

I hear that the next format, whatever the proprietary UHD discs are, will play on regular Blu-Ray players so people can get their collections going before buying a player or a TV that supports that kind of resolution.

Mhmm, well, regardless of what you call it, I felt the need to correct you on the off chance someone took your comment to heart, only to find out their expensive imported blu ray won't play in their standard DVD player.

All the more reason then for them to order the special Toei animation Blueray player with SSj God Goku skin
