If a couple people in Poland can't visit the site, but it keeps unbelievable filth and vitriol from coming back and wreaking havoc, then OK. I'm willing to accept that.(
I can't agree with using collective responsibility (if I were running a site, I'd prefer deactivating each user's account manually to hurting even a single individual) but it's your site and your rules so all I can do is hope that my neibors won't be using Kanzenshuu.

How on Earth would I be supposed even to find him? Take a look at
this map - there are quite possibly about 20 thousand people living in this part of my city (me included). And there are 3 main Internet providers - which leaves us with about 7 thousand people sharing an IP. Every single one of them could get me banned from Kanzenshuu - and that is not an encouraging thought.
VegettoEX wrote:Most horrible people aren't willing to put in the effort to use VPNs consistently to come back and attempt garbage, so that's never been a concern. There's not much correlation between "legitimate troll" and "technologically sophisticated Internet user".
All in all, if I had to, I'd use VPN/proxy to access Kanzenshuu if someone got me banned by accident. But I strongly hope it won't happen.

Disabling an account is already done. That doesn't prevent the same person from coming right back to re-register and having to deal with them two, three, four, five more times in a row (which has been done).
Again, removing the next SLIGHT technological barrier up the chain is what helps, and what is done. I'm sorry if you don't like it and I'm sorry if you have philosophical problems with it, but that's what we do and that's what works for us.

Make your choices very carefully when you become a member. The forum is a part of the website just like the podcast is a part of the website. If you get any value from anything on the entire website as a whole, act according to the community rules (which you agree to twice prior to registration) and be an awesome person.
Then how come Mighty can still access the forum abd website?

Wait, why did penguintruth get banned?
It is clear that sometime in Mark Satan's life, he acquired the dragon balls and called upon shenlong to grant him immortality.

Lost his temper in the 'out of character moments' thread -
http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... 20#p783354
Bit of a shame he's gone. He might have had little patience and overstepped the mark for things he disagreed with at times but I always found his posts accurate and pretty damn amusing at times too.
Oh well, rules are rules and it wasn't the first time.
But yeah, I'm surprised this thread isn't locked considering Mike's disdain for gossip and prying into ban reasons.

Yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed his posts. What a shame.

Me and him didn't seem to see eye to eye on a good number of things, and we certainly had a good few run-ins with the wrong side of each other on here - but I do have somewhat of a respect for the guy and he did occasionally make me smile.
Having said that, I'm rather amazed he lasted so long. He had a really nasty, troll-esque side to him which I really didn't like to see. The way he attacked Schemmel on a personal level to really upset the guy and then wore it as a medal of victory for years following really lowered the tone here - and it's sad that his actions have come to tarnish the reputation of how the Kanzenshuu community is seen in the anime fandom online.

These last few posts sound like a group of people saying a few last words at a funeral.

So what?
A member some of us liked was banned and we're speaking our minds about him. Makes a change from the usual negativity you see in this thread.

Well, since everyone is speaking in such a funereal tone, I feel maybe it would help if I pointed out that his user information still exists. Usually, I've noticed, when people are permanently banned, their accounts are deleted. So maybe he'll be back in a couple of weeks.
Then again, I'm no authority and didn't even know he was gone until I read this thread, so... take that with a container of salt.

Disrespectful gossip is disrespectful gossip and is not OK. There is no conversation to be had here, and it's about time it ends.
You're here to discuss Dragon Ball and that alone.
