Re: What do you hope to see in Dragon Ball Super?
Guys, why are you trying to complicate things? His script says Pan and he gave the her (as well as Bra) a very common haircut for children. It's as simple as that for the time being.
Re: What do you hope to see in Dragon Ball Super?
A fair few things.
Jaco as a reoccurring character.
Jaco's home world.
Krillin and Jaco teaming up on a buddy cop adventure. This is a must if Jaco becomes a reoccurring character.
Both Krillin and Tenshinhan considering taking up the DBO mentoring roles in the future by accidentally proving they have a talent for it with the new generation.
Plenty of Piccolo.
18 getting a fight or two. Providing she's interested in it.
Gohan's book from DBO being hinted at.
Gohan's field of study being mentioned. I didn't see GT so I have no idea if it was mentioned there but.
Yamcha. please...
More of the humans in general. I'd love to see the three main reoccurring human fighters team up and end up taking down an opponent by combining their ultimate attacks; Yamcha distracts and leads the enemy with his Spirit Ball, Tenshinhan pins them down with his Neo Tri Beam, and Krillin using the Destructo Disc to finish the attack. Totally impossible, but it'd be nice to see the humans save their own planet for once.

I didn't post in this thread yet? I guess I did not. Anyway!
*Points intensely at her avatar.* Ssjg Gokû if I should be so lucky as to have this series take place immediately post-F.
However, if Super starts where the manga ends, in that case I'd be rooting for comedic Vegeta and Bra interactions.
Or, if we pick up the days immediately following Buu's defeat, I want to see Gokû acclimating to his old life again. Oh! And you know what, if we get this era, Gohan and Videl's wedding has to happen as it is ripe for shenanigans to occur. :3

I want to see Oob! Everything from the new movies to be implemented too.
Any villain that appears before the end of the manga has no real threat as we all know it ends well, so I want to see it taking place after the 28th tenkaichi budokai.

Re: What do you hope to see in Dragon Ball Super?
I hope they keep Dragonball Z's structure of each arc being basically an endgame. If they attempt to build up a villain through multiple arcs, do it indirectly, like Freeza in the Saiyan arc. Yes, I know it was indirectly because he liked didn't exist in that point, but it's basically the same thing I'm asking here. Each arc should feel like the final one. However, I hope there are multiple arcs. If they set out with 26 episodes from the start, then two 13 episode arcs. If they have 50, then two 26 episode arcs or two shorter arcs with 13 episodes and a longer 24 episode one. If there's an extension, then introduce a new arc.
Also, I hope there are multiple power ups for the various cast members. They definitely have time here to build up the secondary characters too, not only Goku and Vegeta. Of course, Goku will likely stay the main character and save the day in the end, but it'd be nice to see the other characters getting stronger and fighting on too, even if they ultimately lose.

I hope to see Toriyama write serious stories again rather than having everything end in a party.

I don't recall any Dragon Ball arc ending with a party. Unless you include the filler episode after Kid Boo was defeated.NeoKING wrote:I hope to see Toriyama write serious stories again rather than having everything end in a party.

Which makes sense, seeing how both started as parties. Resurrection F did not start with a party, and thus did not end with one.

I do basically want it to follow DBZ in terms of story. Like one big arc that's a soap opera with a cliff hanger ending every episode. Stuff like that keeps you coming back to see what will happen next and keeps you on your toes.

BOG didn't really end with a party. The party practically ended once Beerus started attacking the Z-Fighters.NeoKING wrote:Yo! They went back to the party and were hanging out. We only really saw Goku, Bluma, Vegeta, Piccolo and Oolong afterward, but I would be surprised if the rest of the gang didn't return to eating and celebrating the fact that Beerus didn't blow things up.

I think what he's trying to say is no more parties in the story. Which I agree. Twice recently is enough. No birthday party or whatever.Lord Beerus wrote:NeoKING wrote:Lord Beerus wrote: BOG didn't really end with a party. The party practically ended once Beerus started attacking the Z-Fighters.
Re: What do you hope to see in Dragon Ball Super?
A build-up and end-game stakes need time to develop. Kai/Manga show us the good formula for a sprawling DB arc that feels grand without too much filler - around 50 episodes. Basically 1 year of 52-ep season production from Toei. Of course it has to be done well and keep the viewers engaged. But 13/26 would be too short to stand next to 3 main DBZ arcsNeon Z wrote:I hope they keep Dragonball Z's structure of each arc being basically an endgame. Re: What do you hope to see in Dragon Ball Super?
You do know they can accomplish that with better pacing right? They don't have to avoid keeping up with the manga anymore because there is no source material to follow. They can still do an arc or two and write it so that most episodes leave you with a question you can't wait to have answered next week.
