So we allow the word "fuck", but we censor names? What are we, Kill Bill?
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Are we talking Kill Bill vol. 2? The only name censored in volume 1 is The Bride's name, but that was intentional since we were only supposed to know her as "the Bride".

I'd have to a agree Deus ex. Vegita, Vejita, Bejita, Bejiita, Bijita, and Bijiita are all different spellings I've seen and they're all annoying, at least IMO.

<Kaboom> I'm just glad that he now sounds more like Invader Zim than Rita Repulsa
<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

Well, I don't like busting people for just having their own opinions, but the "Vegeta" spelling just makes more sence, since his name is a pun for "Vegetable". I think people just started spelling it the other way because they wanted to stand out, or they thought it was somehow more 'authentic'.Jerseymilk wrote:I always spell it that way and I don't think it so incorrect. I think it looks nicer too. Before Funimation stepped in, his name was often written that way. Just my opinion though, I guess.

I know that Mike and Julian have probably stopped reading this, but a bit on the spellings was going into the character guides, wasn't it? Well, howabout adding images from where the name was shown in Romanji in the manga and anime?
I do agree with DEM here. "Vegeta" always made more sense to me because:
1/ It sounds more like that than "Vegita" (in both English and Japanese)
2/ "Vegeta" works better in highlighting the pun.
3/ FUNi and Viz both spell it "Vegeta". And I know that may not sound like much of a reason, but I do like things to be consistent. Xyex pointed out all the various spellings the Prince Of the Saiyans gets, and it does get a bit annoying. Everytime I read it I have a little mental blip. And since the closest thing we have to official English spellings go for "Vegeta", AND the closest thing we have to official Japanese spellings (in the form of the subtitles on the DVDs" also go for "Vegeta", I'd say...Vegeta.
Plus, wouldn't you also have to say "Vegito"?

Except Vegito IS the offical FUNi spelling of it. How the hell they got that from Vegeta and their butchered Kakarot is beyond me.
