lulz no way. I kept that shit bottled up for nearly three decades to make men who wouldn't care about my own happiness in the first place happy. Now I'm going to focus on my happiness as much as humanly possible, which means Being Annoyingly and Unapologetically A Girl.mute_proxy wrote: Sat Feb 05, 2022 1:26 pmI think if you stopped pointing out your gender of choosing in almost every comment you post, be it related to the topic or not, he'd be more considerate.
Also, the whole girl thing kinda comes in handy when, y'know, gender is the entire point of the topic at hand. Or gender being a certified approach to criticizing art, which is what we're all in-part here to do.
I'm literally doing nothing but using life experiences and common sense to write these posts but still being written off as #TooSensitive because a few men (?) don't like lukewarm criticism and alternatives that are considerate of peoples' feelings.
I've been trying to say this for several posts now but let me try once more in the most plain, perhaps abrasive language possible: you're not a mind reader. Nobody is a mind reader. One can't just assume they've found the one girl who doesn't mind being hit on at the mall or whatever. This is why designated areas for that sort of thing exist, whether online or not. One can actively avoid being a drag on a stranger's life by placing them into the uncomfortable position of being hit on unexpectedly by a man by simply not hitting on them as they buy their coffee and instead going to a place where people who want to engage in fliriting/whathaveyou are intentionally going to be. It is inconsiderate of people's feelings and their experiences. This is not a controversial concept.MetaMoss wrote: Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:02 pmWhile I'll certainly agree that Peach will have a much better chance of finding what they're looking for in a social context where interacting with strangers is expected, I don't think it should be considered an issue if they choose to try using other avenues, as well.
All the things you and your friends must have gone through for you to have come to this conclusion is some shit that I doubt I could even begin to comprehend, and it is not my intention or desire to downplay that. I just want to convey that this world is full of people who are ready and willing to accept you for who you are and give you the respect you need and deserve, so don't let the shitheels get you down too much.
