godofchaos, I might have missed this, but how is the 5.1 sound with the japanese music?

Audio is fine, but for the first 10, 20 minutes, the english with japanese music is very off putting, it really yanks you out of the show, not cause it is done badly, but I've watched DBZ so many times both ways, that having them 'mixed' for the tv show kinda fucked with my head, once I got used to it it was actually quite nice.

Also, the menu makes it quite clear what each one is, which is a bit more then i expected and also very nice.

Give me an episode to look for it in would be helpful, randomly looking for stuff in 39 episodes isn't exactly gonna be a piece of cake.

Ah, thank you. This puts to rest all of the bullshit going around saying that the Japanese was turned into 2.0.

And I'm assuming that the Dub with the Japanese BGM is selectable 5.1?

There are 3 audio tracks, the english with japanese music is the 5.1 track (there arent 2 versions of it, its 5.1 only, english broadcast is 2.0, and japanese is mono)

Sadly though I'm still on the fence with this release. I can't get over how tragic this release really is. The "genius" who came up with the idea to widescreen this should get a kick in the groin.

And I was looking forward to this despite it all...

I think they where originally just going to release this as the "Ultimate Uncut" set but then it was cancelled for a while until they made "the announcement of the decade". *shakes head*

I don't know if this helps... but since I don't own all of the Ultimate Uncuts, I can give the episode number and title for the old dub.

It's episode 14 - The Legend of the Saiyans.
So, whenever Goku is being told about them ol' Saiyer-Jin folk.
