I'm not sure which eras they're using to characterize the early/mid Gokus... though Early Goku could be pre Kaioken training? Otherwise I really don't see how he could be that different from later Gokus other than power.

Well, first their drawing style is a bit different :

Early Goku

Late Goku

No need to explain, unless you want to.

Early Goku still has that round face from Dragon Ball, whereas Late Goku is more "squared".
It's because Toriyama's drawing style changed.

Then, Early Goku can only transform into Super Saiyan. Late Goku can also become SSJ2 and SSJ3.
Their skills are differents : Early Goku can use Kaio ken and Genkidama, Late Goku Dragon Punch (Ryu-ken), Super Genkidama, he can fuse...

You guys forgot that there's a Mid Goku.. right?

Early Goku is Piccolo Jr. to Saiyan Saga, Mid Goku is Freeza Saga to Android Saga, End Goku is Cell Saga to Buu Saga.

Oh my god! The ultimate character! Let me guess the attacks!

B2: Beat-em up! Attack (Famer does a rush attack with his hands and maybe a rake...)
Gun Shot (Shoots a bullet like a SS Deadly Bomber)

UB: Sniper Rush Attack (Does a rush move and kick the opponent away then using the gun as a sniper gun and shooting the opponent)

You can't use a shotgun as a sniper rifle. Shotguns do not work that way.

Maybe he got a Capsule Corp Shape-shifting gun (TM) that ... can... transform as needed? Which would give room for other crazy techniques.

Funny thing. This person on another forum actually wants Icarus, or whatever (Gohan's flying filler dragon pet), as a playable character. It told her that was the worst idea ever, and now it's kind of flame-ish.

If we had Icarus and Chi-chi, there could be a couple of battles of playing as Icarus against Chi-chi to distract Gohan from his studies. His UB would be to fly Chi-chi 20,000 feet up then drop her.

Yup. Early Goku sucks. He's got a Kamehameha, a (20x?)Kaio Ken Kamehameha, and the Spirit Bomb. Plus no SSJ forms. Then Mid Goku is Freeza through Cell Games. The only way that this is not a bad idea is if he's got his USSJ and/or USSJ2 forms he showed off in the RoSaT.

His UB would be to fly Chi-chi 20,000 feet up then drop here.

And then Rocketman would kidnap her.

IMO having Icarus as a character is about as bad, if not worse than having Freeza's soldier as a character. If Mr. Satan can't hurt a character with physical attacks enough to mean squat (right?), then I shudder to think what might happen if Icarus is in there. His only move would be tail wag and growl. ("Your growl has lowered the enemy's attack!" Haha. Pokemon).

I've noticed that Budokai 1 had Cell in buffed form, didn't know that...

So, "all the characters that were playable in a fighting game", that means we are still missing:

Final Bout:
Trunks GT
Trunks GT Super Saiyan

Budokai:
Cell Buffed Up (Super?)

Budokai 3:
Kid Uub

Super DBZ:
Chichi

Advanced Adventure (VS mode):
Kid Krilin

I have my doubts about Buffed Cell and Kid Uub, Trunks GT may be a skin only, Kid Krilin and Chichi are good candidates in my opinion.

(you know, all of those tournament guys

-Young Roshi (flash back from the King Piccolo saga)

Besides that, I would really like to see Nova Shenron in this game and I agree that late DBZ and/or GT versions of Trunks and Goten are needed. Oh, and how sweet would an Olibu be, complete with a "What If?" Pikkon fusion?!
