So anyhoo, yeah, Chapter 8 is done. I already said that. I had to give Pan and Goku a character moment. I decided to play up Pan's general bitchiness in the anime and give her a reason she's such a bitch (other than actually being one), so I made her be resentful of Goku for leaving at the end of DBZ. But of course, that left the problem of actually resolving their conflict (lest we decide to leave Pan to become emo, like most anime youths) without being too dramatic (this is Dragon Ball after all, not Evangelion) but without seeming the whole thing is there for the sake of being there.

The extra adventures are coming off more filler-esque than I originally intended (then again, they are filler chapters after all), but I still think they are necessary, since as I mentioned before, the infamous Lost Episodes are the ENTIRE PREMISE of Dragon Ball GT. It does allow me to more appreciate Toei's efforts in creating the GT storyline though; this isn't as easy as we all think it is. Just creating a premise requires a lot of thought and consideration. Still, I like to think they're pretty good, for what they are at least. I can't wait to be able to show it to a wider audience (wider than the 3 people I've shown my script to).

Anyhoo, yes Pain, you were one of the few I've shown the script to. You (and just about everyone else) only has Chapters 1-5 though, and I'm currently working on Chapter 9.

That sounds great. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

To keep those who are, against all odds, still interested in this project up to date, I'm on Chapter 13 right now (but if we were going by Toriyama-length manga chapters, I'd say roughly around Chapter 26). I'm still in the Lost Episodes and will be for quite some time. Everything gets switched around and played with in almost every scene I write in an attempt to have the project reflect the look and feel of the original manga rather than relying on cheesy sight gags more at home in a Looney Tunes short. I also like how Giru's turning out in this project (a real smartass). Not much else to say at the moment that I already haven't mentioned.

Actually, at this point I'm considering just posting the script on the forum. At least that way, my work will be out there. I'd be posting it in bits and pieces as I go along, of course, and it will give me motivation to keep writing it if people want to see more. I, of course, would still be open to the idea of an artist turning this into a fanmanga.

I've read the parts you've sent me, and its great. It's got great humor and I love it. However, I've just been really busy lately. I haven't even had much time to work on my own comic.

I'm going to try and get a few pages done, though. It's Thanksgiving break, so I should be able to do that at least.

Finnishjuoppo: The script is going fine. Manga production, however, is currently non-existent as far as I know (or damn near it). If you're holding your breath waiting for me to unveil some panels, you might want to exhale.

Big Momma: I'm glad you've enjoyed the script so far. What did I send you, Chapters 1-5? I'm currently on Chapter 16 right now. Your pages look good, but I'm looking for a very Toriyama-esque style. Send me some panels of Goku and the other Z-fighters talking and fighting in various poses and in Toriyama-style art and we'll see where we go from there. No color. Color slows down production. I'm keeping everything in black and white.

This still doesn't change my plans to start posting the script on this thread. I don't want to work hard on this only to have 4-5 people see a couple chapters and the rest sit on my harddrive only to be seen by myself. I'll post a chapter every now and then. That'll keep things interesting.

The pages read like a manga, right-to-left.

The 2nd page may look a little lazy, because I originaly wasn't going to do a 2nd page, but I figured that since the first page was just narraration, I probably should.

That page looks very nice. I'm starting to work on the new chapter covers(redoing them because the ones that I should have posted earlier got wet.). They'll be very creative. I'll try something different and new with them.

Actually, that's pretty good. Clean it up a bit (you said it was a rough draft, in essence) and work on your Toriyama-style. I know that last sentence came off kind of insulting (it did to me, at least, and I'm the one who wrote it), but it's just that I only get one version of it in the end so I want to get the best I can get. Besides, I'm in no rush to get the finalized versions of each page in yet. I'd rather see each page drawn, redrawn, and re-redrawn until its picture perfect. We have time, and I'd rather this look like the Dragon Ball Multiverse comic than some other crap I've seen. But yeah, Big Momma, if you can clean it up a bit and keep working on it, you're definitely in. You seem to have a grasp (judging from these two pages, at least) on how to arrange panels and draw characters in a number of different poses and positions, so that is a major help for me. So just keep drawing and working on it and keep me up to date. Again, I'd rather you work on making your artwork more "Toriyama" than continuing and having to redo everything.

I'm still going to start posting the script, though. It's going to be on a separate thread entitled "Joey Batz's definitive Dragon Ball GT", I guess. I can do that, right? There's no rule or taboo against fanfics on this site (I don't want to be the guy that ushers in an era of terrible BulmaxVegeta fics on the forum)?

As an update as to how the script is going, Goku, Pan, Uub, and Trunks (and Giru, who I've come to enjoy writing lines for in this) have defeated Luud and are now getting ready to land on that desert planet. I have a slew of original adventures for them slated to begin after they leave Planet M2. If everything goes well, you'll like how it's all done, and after watching both Funimation and Japanese clips, I'm eager to write the battle between Goku and Rildo.
