I can understand wanting a movie 3 redub being Goku had Dende's voice in that one. But why the 10th Anniversary film to? That was done pretty good.I wouldn't mind a double feature with a newly redubbed DB movie 3 and the 10th Anniversary film
Next Double Feature to be Movies 7 & 9 (And GT Season 2)

They could make a triple bill instead of two double bills, or, since Blood Rubies will be up for grabs in 2010, they could release them as DB movies 2 and 3, and then later 4 and 1.MagicBox wrote:But then that would leave the Dragon Ball movies with an odd number once FUNimation finally decides to get around to them for double feature releases.

If they are going to redub movie 3, then it only makes sense for them to do movie 2 as well becuase Ceyli Delgadillo's aweful Goku was in that also. Nadolny does a much nicer Goku IMO.Tanooki Kuribo wrote:I can understand wanting a movie 3 redub being Goku had Dende's voice in that one. But why the 10th Anniversary film to? Yeah, basically.
The consistency involved here is that there's no widescreen "remastered" edition of the Broli movies on DVD . . . and since the rest of the movies are currently being released in (relative) order as such, Broli would be no exception, even if that means releasing certain movies yet again.
Hell, being that this is likely to be a triple feature, I'm expecting that a Blu-Ray edition will be released again, too, with different packaging and an extra movie to boot-- the earlier remastered edition didn't include Movie 11, an' all.
It's sort of a roundabout way of doing things, but then, how else has FUNimation ever dealt with DBZ?

Yeah, but that would contribute to the whole "out of order" thing, which I'd really like to avoid.Dayspring wrote:They could make a triple bill instead of two double bills, or, since Blood Rubies will be up for grabs in 2010, they could release them as DB movies 2 and 3, and then later 4 and 1.
Aside from the TONS of added dialogue, yeah, it was a good dub.Tanooki Kuribo wrote:I can understand wanting a movie 3 redub being Goku had Dende's voice in that one. But why the 10th Anniversary film to? That was done pretty good.
But that's not awhat I meant. When I said that, I meant that they chouls include:
1.) A redubbed movie 3.
AND
2.) The Anniversary film.
I suppose the way it was worded, it's easy to misread.

Oh, we'd need much more done than that.Gozar wrote:They'd have a bit of work to do with DragonBall. We'd need a Dub of Movie 1 and a Re-Dub on Goku's part in Movies 2 & 3.
Movie 2
- Goku and Bulma desperately need redubbing. Dear Lord.
- Kuririn, Roshi, and arguably Yamcha need redubbing, even though their current actors are in this film. Don't remember how Oolong or Pu'erh sounded.
Movie 3
- Goku needs to be redubbed.
- Arale needs her current video game voice. (and her "He's such a stud." line removed.).
- Pilaf and henchmen need their proper voices.
- Basically the whole movie needs redubbing due to acting.
Not only that, but proper ending credits sequences need to be made, the proper opening/ending songs need to be integrated, and the talking needs to be removed from movie 3's ending. It'd actually be easier if FUNi just redubbed them completely.

I think Pilaf's "regular" English voice is intact on Mystical Adventure. And of course, I doubt they'll script change; merely redub.
[quote="Brakus"]For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". I've been wondering this for awhile, but those digitally remastered movie re-releases: Are they for regular DVD players, or HD ones?
I'm guessing not due to the lack of the "HD DVD" logo, and the fact those were discontinued a long time ago. But I thought it would be safer to ask anyway, just in case.

These double feature DVDs? They're for regular DVD. And then there's the Blu-Ray versions.
Nope, it was somebody named Lealie Alexnander. And she was bad. Oh Lordy, she was bad.Gozar wrote:Tiffany Vollmer didn't do Bulma in DB Movie 2?
It sounds absolutely nothing like Chuck Huber, though. I really doubt it was him.bkev wrote:I think Pilaf's "regular" English voice is intact on Mystical Adventure.

She was a hoot to listen to, though! I think the main problem with movie 2 isn't the temp voices, but rather the audio quality. It's terrible! Like a 3rd-gen VHS. I might be exagerating there a little, but...MagicBox wrote:Nope, it was somebody named Lealie Alexnander. And she was bad. Also, earlier in this Topic someone asked if GT Season 1 was really 34 Episodes when I stated so. I just want to say that Rightstuf has it listed as 34. So I think it's safe to say that's correct.

I really hate to link videos that are full episodes split into parts...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgy-v-yjhSQ But just listen to the beginning part. Bulma right off the bat. And she does sound horrible.
