In terms of the season sets it's mainly for the title cards whether they are in English or Japanese.DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:It has been bugging me for a while. If I may ask, what the heck are the alternate angles?

Did the original dragonball have next episode previews? I never knew that. Didn't think it did.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
It's appeared on AxelMusic, a site I commonly use, and what's more, it's listed with a Collectors Edition Box Set...

What the Perfect Cell? If there's a collectors edition, you'd better believe that I'm first in line for that shit. The Time Traveller wrote:It's appeared on AxelMusic, a site I commonly use, and what's more, it's listed with a Collectors Edition Box Set...

A special edition release would have likely been announced alongside the regular set. No mention was made in the press release or anywhere else. It's likely just the retailer putting that title in there for no reason. Besides, it's got the same price as the regular edition. I'm sure it means nothing.
Of course, if there's something confirming it that I missed, then hot damn.

What if this is that big announcement that FUNimation was talking about though? Things they could include in a special edition might be: a guide book, movies, a box to hold all the sets, a CD with BGM, or an additional DVD with a bunch of special features. Some of these aren't very likely, but they would indeed make this edition one of the special variety.MagicBox wrote:A special edition release would have likely been announced alongside the regular set. Who said anything about a "big" announcement?
I foresee it as nothing more than "Hey, here's a release schedule for the rest of the series."

Not just that. With DB, Toei didn't give it to Funi at all. Heard they didn't give next episode previews for Sailor Moon to ADV and Pioneer either.Big Boss wrote:I wouldn't put your money on that. DBZ and GT didn't have them, so the likely hood of these sets doing so is very, very slim.kei17 wrote:If it includes each next episode preview, I have no hesitation in buying it.

The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

I never understood why so many people consider the next-episode previews such a deal-breaker. I mean, I understand that they're part of the original experience, but I've never seen them as anything other than a novelty. The next episode is on the disc. I normally just go to marathon mode anyway. But I've seen many people say: "if they have next-episode previews I'll get it." I'm just like

They expect too much of it anyway. I'm getting it, even if it has no next episode previews. The reason I want to buy DB season sets is so I can complete my collectionInnagadadavida wrote:I never understood why so many people consider the next-episode previews such a deal-breaker. The next episode previews for DBZ are awesome. Every other Funimation show has next episode previews so why not the Dragonball shows?DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:They expect too much of it anyway.
