One question, and I am a bit disappointed if this is the case, but it seems that there don't seem to be next episode previews on these. Am I wrong, or did they just not include them? It would be nice to know if there's a menu option I'd missed....but it would be a bit upsetting if they weren't there, considering how funny they can be.

I thought the singles had them as extras... am I wrong?
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Aw. No "Ossu! Ora Goku!". ='(

...

Anyway, that bit of lack of knowledge shows how very little experience I've had with Funimation's official releases until now, and shows why so much of my preferred Japanese viewings are so spotty.

Ah well. I guess I can live without about 400 or so next episode previews....

Meh. I'll deal with a lot for $0.50-1.00 per episode.

I may end up buying the Dragonboxes afterwhile just for the next episode previews.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Would there even be a difference in quality? I thought I remembered reading that the Dragonbox footage was scanned at a certain level of quality that pretty much matches what a standard DVD can put out. I may be wrong, so correct me if I am.

Granted one bonus about having the series on B-RD would be that it would require less discs...but at a higher price.

No... there has never been any information released as to what resolution they were scanned in at. It is 16mm film, so it is very possible they were scanned in at a 1080 resolution, especially since they wouldn't want to pass up a chance to re-release the sets on Blu-Ray. Also, it would probably be the same number of discs on Blu-Ray as on DVD since higher resolution + higher bitrate + lossless audio (maybe?) = huge files. Blu-Rays often have at least 4 times the bitrate of DVDs. I would say that it would definitely benefit from a higher resolution, though the movies would have a more noticeable improvement due to that fact that they are stored on 24mm film, I believe.

Hey guys, just thought I'd show off my inferior collection of Dragon Ball stuff.

Image
A group shot of most of the stuff that I have and can easily put on display. Since your probably tired of seeing the same games and DVD's I'll just tell you some of this stuff. I've got:
-Dragon Ball: Path to Power
-Movies 1, 5,7,8 and 9
- Funimations Season 3 Part 1 Box Set (Trunks and Android Saga's)
- Seasons 1-5 of Funi's 'Remastered' sets
- Dragon Ball GT Funi releases 1-12 and 'Lost Episodes' 1 and 2
- Dragon Ball Z Budokai 1-3 and Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 1 and 2
- Dragon Ball Final Bout, Burst Limit, Supersonic Warriors 2, Legendary Super Warriors, Legacy of Goku and Shin Budokai
- Random toys and cards that I collected when I was younger
- Dragon Ball VIZBIG 1 (2 is in the mail) and Dragon Ball Z VIZBIG 1 and 2

Image
One of VIZ's original Dragon Ball manga releases. This is No. 10 Part 3 (in the Namek Saga).

Image
Just my DVD's (Excluding the season sets) with my Funi Boxset.

Image

Image

My DVD and poster signed by Eric Vale (the voice of Trunks, who is also my favourite character, in the Funimation Dub).

Oh well, one day Dragon Box...one day...

The entirety of my doujinshi collection, flattened out over some square feet of my floor.

95% of my doujinshi come from ebay. I've picked up maybe five other books from cons.

Awesome collection Velasa. The auctions for Doujinshii I've seen on ebay have always been pretty expensive, they must have cost you quite a bit.

Do I see Piccolo and Gohan about to make out on one of those covers?

I think I'm going to be sick...

Yes. It cost a lot. Several-hundred-dollars-plus a lot over the last six years.

And I'm a P-Gh fangirl, so deal with it ^^ Everyone has their prefrences and I don't deny you guys your endless posts discussing wether Bulma's boobs show up in this or that edition of the manga. I'm willing to bet the book you're looking at is NootenP-HAN. One of my freaking favorites.

EDIT- unless you mean Moon Rever which is more towards the center and on a red background. That book's just fucked up.

Wow, you must have spent a fortune, since you own everything in VHS and DVD and REMASTERED.

Yeah, thats been everything I've been colecting for the past 5 years. I've got everything that has come out in english [hence all the copies of the movies] except 3 Dragonball dvds, cell saga vhs, and the lost episodes vhs. As well as all the ps2 and ps3 dbz games.
