Can I just add though, when will people be getting there lines, I haven't been for a while to check so I'm not completely up to date, but I'm going to read back through the pages to catch up.... all 50 of them. :?

Kino is working on the final script (Combining mine and Mr.A's). Once she's done, I'll be using it to make a recording guide, and we'll start recording from there.

Okay I have one big question for señor Kaboom. If there will be a need for Spanish subs then I would like to have at least 75 to 80 percent of the dialouge so I can translate the English lines. I don't know if that would be a problem if I had the script (unless there is no "final" version of the script). If there is and there is no problem with me having a look at the script, then that would be great. Even if the subs aren't used then it's just going to be a fun little "waste of time" and not a big deal.

Sure. Once Kino finishes with the final version, I'll put it out for everyone to read. You're then more than welcome to fiddle with it however you'd like.

Alright, so it's been a while since I posted any videos (but I've been working on them). Here you go:

I don't mean to boast or anything, but these are great.

Yes, it is! Acid_Reign got one running for us, and now we're waiting for capsuleman to upload the footage to it.

Grrr... I really wanna see it, but YouTube is being a pain in the ass yet again. (Stupid little swirly thing just keeps going and going...)

You think, perhaps, we could switch to using DailyMotion instead?

If it still doesn't work, then I will.

In the description at YouTube, I was tempted to write 'Battle For Earth: Coming to a Tube Near You'.

Get it? :o

LOL UPDATE

Alrighty folks, roll call tiem.

There's two big things happening at once. They are...

1) Getting footage.
2) Kino finishing the final script.

1)
We have for a few days had the FTP server ready and waiting for capsuleman to insert his big, meaty DragonBox footage into. If, however, he doesn't reply sometime soon (Last I heard from him was over a month ago...), then Acid_Reign has graciously volunteered to provide the (Still DBox) footage instead. I know capsuleman has actually been waiting for us for a long time, but we really need to keep the project moving forward at this point, and really can't wait too long.

2) In other news, Kinofourpaws has, as you can see a couple pages back, taken up the task of combining mine and Shinpan's scripts into the final version. I assume she is still working on it, as I haven't heard from her in a while.

Howeverrrrr... once she IS done, and gets the script to me, I'll be able to finally make the KEVRG - "Kaboom's Extreme Visual Recording Guie," which, essentially, will be me slapping subtitles onto an audioless version of the movie and putting it on DailyMotion (Down with YouTube!) as something for folks to refer to while we're recording...

...which, provided the aforementioned things go well, should start in about a week! It won't take me any more than a few days to make the KEVRG, but I can't make it until I have a final script.

In the meantime, I need to sort of take roll and gather up our VAs again, so we can prepare.

I know it's been about seven kajillion forevers since auditions finished up, and I'm truly sorry it's taken so long. It's mostly my fault for taking on too much by myself, taking the stress off by being lazy, and then getting uncharacteristically emo when things don't go well. But if I/we can get everyone to contribute on a regular basis from this point forward, we can crank this mutha out like it's nothing.

In addition to checking in here, I'd just like everyone to practice your voices in the meantime. I'm sure a few of you have probably gotten a little out of practice, but it's fine. I'm here to coach those who will and have needed it (Advance warning omega, expect me to be one your case quite a bit; Goku has to be perfect :D ), and Kino and Rick are here to help, too, as always.

Also, one thing that'll be a big help with recording, even more so than a decent microphone, is a choice of voice recording sotware. Windows Sound Recorder sucks. There are two programs I'd recommend that everyone is capable of getting. Audacity, and Adobe's Beta of Soundbooth CS3. Not only are they both free, but also record at good quality even with a crappy mic, and even have some filters you can use to clean up your recordings further. Tenken, our sound guy, is capable of cleaning up the worst of the worst, but we don't want to overload him. Especially those of you who aren't doing anything besides voices; I think you could stand to clean up your recordings a bit before everyone else does.

I'm gonna experiment a bit, and try to find out some tips as to how to improve recording quality, and I'll work on that with you guys when the time comes.

So I'll be PMing and e-mailing those of you in the cast to remind you and basically point you to this post, but before or after I do, I'd just like everyone to check back in on this thread, just to sorta let me know you're still here.

Thanks, y'all.

That's a huge post er...señor Kaboom and I will just bring up some stuff your post brought up. First and foremost you seem to be able to add subs to the video and that's somthing that I'm wondering you would be able to do with the Spanish translation I will work on. I will be showing somthing to give an idea of what I mean, just to let you all know what the quality will be. At this point it is no longer a question of 'if I will do it' and now a matter of 'I will do it'. Look for more updates on this and anything else I can think of but that's all for now at this point. Still, it's pretty sweet that you can add subs because it will no doubt be a great help to me to not have to worry about it myself. Muchas gracias.8)

PS: I got a good idea about how to advertise for this. I will try to get a website for Room 29 Productions. Don't expect anything until I translate the script, though.

You're the man, Kaboom.

You're the man. 8)

Conan, your voice breaks up very much when you're screaming. It goes something like this:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

I think someone needs practise... Azure was just awesome, and the Vegeta voice actually sounded like Chris Sabat (wait... I think it was).

What the heck do you call the vid, it was practice, mainly practice on letting go with my voice without restraints. Bear in mind I was screaming for many different age stages of Goku, so I was kinda trying to keep in elements of both Ms. Nazowa (the high-pitched-ness heard a bit) and my own natural voice for different points of his life. I dare ya' to do better.

And yes, Azure was awesome, as was my Vegeta "What!?" :D

If you want, I can handle that part at the moment. Mind you, it'll probably be hosted on geocites or something free and cheap, but I can guarantee it'll be good =D

Well, just to let you all know, I'm still here and am more than willing to help out with this project. I'll start practicing my Kuririn voice again until the script is finalized. Glad to see you decided to keep going with the fandub after all, by the way.

Hey Conan, is there anyway that you could send me the clips you used for that Goku's SSJ transformation video. I would really like to practice my Goku on those scenes, well, since I am Goku in the dub.

Anyway, if you could send me the clips, or point me to somewhere where I could get them, that would be cool.

Erm... guys, I think it's safe to assume Capsuleman's no longer participating. Oh well, people like him are... how should I put it?

Disposable.

Alright, so how're things going with the script (Kino's job), the Oozaru picture (Kaboom's job), and... when are we getting the footage? I think we should switch to Acid_Reign, and simply add his name to the credits (but still keep Capsuleman on there).

Also, I'd like to hear some of Omegacwa's Goku. I hope you're good.

What?!

Just a suggestion.

Sheesh...

Ugh, I should've known better than to give a time estimate. No worries, it'll be soon, since...
Steven Perry wrote:Erm... guys, I think it's safe to assume Capsuleman's no longer participating.
Indeed. Just the other day, he did finally get back in touch with me. Seems he's been having roommate and computer issues, and barely managed to get online well enough to contact me. He's not "no longer participating," so to speak, but in his absense, I had to get it some other way.

Steven Perry wrote:Alright, so how're things going with the script (Kino's job), the Oozaru picture (Kaboom's job), and... when are we getting the footage? I think we should switch to Acid_Reign, and simply add his name to the credits (but still keep Capsuleman on there).
Yes indeed, Acid_Reign, also an owner of the Movies DragonBox, has already ripped the footage and placed it in the FTP server that he also has so graciously set up. For the moment, though, only he and I can access it. I'm trying to figure out who our video editors are, so I can give them the FTP logon info, and we can discuss and figure out the best way to divide up and do the editing work.

I already finished the Oozaru picture... didn't I send it? Who wants it, again?

Kino and I talked the other night. She said she was almost done, and was going through and adding some lip-flap-accommodating little personal touches to it. I'm expecting her to finish any time now...
Steven Perry wrote:Also, I'd like to hear some of Omegacwa's Goku. I hope you're good.
Oh, he's good. He's gonna need some coaching on the delivery of some things, but he's good.

Yeah, I ain't bad, ha ha. My main problem i have been having, and I am working on it the best I can, is trying to express anger/grunting without actually being angry. I feel like I am forcing it a lot. Ergh, more practice I guess.
