Just a quick appreciation post for Kanzenshuu's work on providing us with such a detailed and thorough summary of the first chapter of the prequel manga. Fantastic work guys.

Go to fanfiction.net or something along those lines, and you'll find billions of stories about villain returning and getting unbelievably strong. It's literally one of the top things in fanfiction. So much so even my employer did it too. There's one for everyone, most commonly Broly...Hell if it were Broly coming back, I bet people would still say it's all good since Toriyama is on board.sintzu wrote:Why do look at them as fan fiction ? and what fan service are you talking about ?dbzfan7 wrote:I no longer take new Dragon Ball stories seriously. Glorified fanfictions with entertaining fights, and fanservice is all they are anymore to me.
By fanservice it's Freeza returning for the "Oh look at that it's a past Villain so cool" feeling, giving others what seems to be a minor chance to fight so people can go "Oh hey look they're doing something cool"...when they're not really doing anything of real note beyond fanservice fights. Gohan and Videl being fanservice for "Aw look at the family" when really it's most likely has zero meaning beyond "Hey look pan is born....ok moving on now." More to come soon once the news pops up.

Usually I wouldn't hesitate to think it's legitimate, but after that really convincing Tights "confirmation", well...Chuquita wrote:The person who posted it doesn't know what magazine it came from. Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Why can tien be revived uninjured (both arms intact) even though he loses an arm fighting the saibamen however frieza can not be revived uninjured (ends up revived in pieces) ?
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Also Krillin was blown into pieces, and Namek blew those up into ashes. Yet he was fine too as he got his whole body back no problem.Careless Saiyajin wrote:Why can Tenshinhan be revived uninjured (both arms intact) even though he loses an arm fighting the saibamen however Freeza can not be revived uninjured?

Same with Piccolo, Goten, Gohan, and Trunks when Boo blew up the planet. Their bodies was obliterated. When was it a rule that you're brought back in the state you died?dbzfan7 wrote:Also Krillin was blown into pieces, and Namek blew those up into ashes. The story has heroes coming back and getting stronger so I don't see what's the problem with it being changed to the villain for once.dbzfan7 wrote: Go to fanfiction.net or something along those lines, and you'll find billions of stories about villain returning and getting unbelievably strong.

I really have nothing against this,it's a small thing that's just there.
IMO fan fiction and fan service is doing something that doesn't make sense with the rest of the story which thankfully isn't the case here.
For example let's say for some reason people start giving a shit about Yamcha and all of a sudden there's a movie about him becoming the strongest in the universe and taking down someone like Beerus. Now this is fan fiction and service that goes against what was previously established but what we're getting as of now isn't.

Seems like Shenlong's starting to develop some Monkey's Paw habits for the less than good characters.

Maybe Freeza trained and failed the first time. Because they don't know yet that Goku uses a different ki to fight.
If Freeza can defeat Goku with only four months training, what will he do if he trains three years? Knowing Tori, there must be more to this.

Like VegettoEX said earlier, we can all chill out anyways. I think we can all agree that this one detail doesn't quite add up but that's okay. I am still going to love this movie and just accept the logic presented as it is how it is.

From the summary, my only real issue so far still remains the whole "Freeza not being a spirit, having an in tact body in hell...but chopped once revived" thing. Otherwise, I'm really enjoying the "film" thus far, I don't know how exact of an adaption this is, but I am enjoying it. I just hope the actual movie has an explanation for the previously mentioned thing.

Well put, I agree with absolutely everything you just said. I was trying to say something to a similar effect.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:From the summary, my only real issue so far still remains the whole "Freeza not being a spirit, having an in tact body in hell...but chopped once revived" thing. Judging by all these stuff, this movie has to be way longer than Battle of Gods. It is my dream to spend two hours watching a Dragon Ball movie.
Does anyone know aproximately how long is Movie 15?

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
He might be going for 4 months cause that's all he needs to get to his full power so doing more won't make him any stronger.shinmaru wrote: If Freeza can defeat Goku with only four months training, what will he do if he trains three years? Knowing Tori, there must be more to this.
And going by one of the pictures it looks like Goku does lose so how does Vegeta take him down ?
What I think will happen is he puts a lot of power into the ball we see Goku trying to stop in the trailer which takes his power down enough for Vegeta to finish the job.

Some site had it listed at 2 hours but I don't know how accurate the site is with info.Dyno wrote:Does anyone know aproximately how long is Movie 15?
With BOG being 105 I don't see why they wouldn't make this 15 minutes longer.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
It's literally one of the things fanfiction is mocked for. Bringing back old villains, and making them really really strong. I was excited, but scared here since maybe Toriyama could do something with that overused concept. His past editor seemed pleased....then news came out...and it's like no one tried to make things work. You can fix some of these problems easily like Freeza being wished back years earlier, but going into training while the rest of DBZ played out. You could have Majin Boo be a fairy tale Freeza heard that he didn't believe existed since Boo wasn't around in Freeza's time I think. He also shouldn't know the God of Destruction. He's boasting he's the best when his own father told him of people not to piss off and would wreck his shit.sintzu wrote:The story has heroes coming back and getting stronger so I don't see what's the problem with it being changed to the villain for once.dbzfan7 wrote: Go to fanfiction.net or something along those lines, and you'll find billions of stories about villain returning and getting unbelievably strong.

Just like the hells angels and miniscule effortless filler fights. Both really adding nothing but "Haha wook at the adorwable things and mean ol Freezer face" and "Oh hey they're doing something meaningful...only not since there is no struggle to handle mooks are all so weak anyone beyond Roshi could wave their hand and kill them all"...fluff fights are boring if they're going to be easy. If they actually could outnumber and harm the Z fighters, I call bullshit since they could overtake Freeza himself and his lack of care for any of them.
I think we already have people pointing out the issues going against pre established things since Minus.

I see. But the theatrical version was 85 minutes, wasn't it? It was only the DVD that got the extended version.sintzu wrote:Some site had it listed at 2 hours but I don't know how accurate the site is with info.
