Part of me really wants there to be more story stuff too, since that's the main draw for me as well, but at the same time...where the last one we just got left off is kind of perfect for the time being, at least for me. I would be satisfied with older characters like Buuhan and Dabura. I've seen a lot of Baby Vegeta talk but I don't really care for that. For what it's worth, you can turn the date forward on your console/PC to the coming and future weekends to access the medal shop whenever you want. Awoken Skills (transformations) are mostly unique to each race. You can't use Super Saiyan on an Earthling after all, just like you can't use Golden form on a Namekian. HOWEVER. I'm 92 at the moment, so I think I can manage at least until 95 or 96 and I am getting TP medals too so I don't mind. I've done pretty much everything else of worth. Except gathering the equipment and skills I only intend to Z-Rank the story and mentor missions. At any rate, no, you still have to create a character for each race and manually obtain the forms.
Also, you'll be grinding your brains out leveling to 99 that way. If you don't want to farm dragon balls (MUCH FASTER) then try using EM16 instead of EM17. I personally have found EM16 to consistently give out higher EXP. and can be quickly cleared with homing type Ki blast skills, and unlike EM17, actually manageable with a strike user.

I have all 3 variations of Super Saiyan (super saiyan, super vegeta, future super saiyan) as well as Potential Unleashed and Kaioken. My Saiyan has access to all of those, but my Majin is only showing up Kaioken and Potential Unleashed in her options (I have yet to unlock the majin awoken skill. Regarding EM16 I found that it gives pretty much the same XP for me as 17 so I alternate between them when I get bored.
And about the transformations, I don't really intend to use them. Just want to get them for completion's sake. If I get them with the different characters they'll appear on my main's "profile" with everything still unlocked and Z-Ranked right? I can just drop the secondary ones once I get them no?

Thankfully there's only two Expert Missions I have to replay to get their skills too - the Vegeta one I'll try to spam for EXP and TP medals anyway, so no biggie; and the freakin' Broly one, oy.
