Actually, movie 13 was the only story in which Mystic Gohan was seen to power up.

And still, it looked different than this "shiny" powerup.

He powers up in the Final Bout intro, if that counts for anything.

There was crap-load of stuff in V-Jump, such as the new Toriyama drawing which no one seems to care about apart from me; ( ) as well as a couple shots of SSJGod, Zenkai Battle Royale stuff and an interview with Toriyama.

Oh come on, really. Piccolo getting owned by chopsticks? Majin Buu, Gohan and Gotenks should've been able to put up a respectable fight as a time but instead they all get beaten with one attack. I know those attacks are coming from Bills but they don't even look that strong, the way Gohan lands is like someone pushed him over, there was no impact at all.

This is why Bills should've had minions, he's pretty much the Galactus of the DBU so he should've had some heralds, the Z-fighter should've beaten them so they can still look badass and not useless weaklings while Goku fights Bills. These are characters which have bullets bounce of them and would laugh at a nuke, now they look kinda pathetic

The "Virus" pun is more than likely (with the word directly turning into both Birusu and Uirusu - hence Uisu - in Japanese, and the fact that a virus spreads destruction, what more pun do you need for the two characters?), but we'll have to wait for some official confirmation to settle this once and for all.
Until then - and even after - people may choose whatever they like.

Yeah, we've seen both "Bills" and "Beers" used on merchandise, but I'm still leaning toward the "virus" source, too. What's throwing me off from "Beers" and "Bills" is they're both pluralizations of words, which they've never done for name puns before (that I can recall, anyway). Why wouldn't they just use "Biru" and have it based off either "beer" or "bill"? Why would they add the 'su' and make an English word plural? That's why I think it's a word that already has an 's' in its singular form.

Also, holy shit, Birusu beating everyone up with freakin' chopsticks...awesome.

I really like and I'm glad we finally got more BoG artwork by Toriyama. I'll pick up whichever issue has the Toriyama drawing whenever I find out which one has it.
Also I love the little chopstick fight. Reminds me of the chopstick scene in The Fearless Hyena.

It was probably the full fight MINUS Goten and Trunks transforming. I wouldn't hold my breath for much more, sadly.

Not that I know of, especially since scriptwriter confirmed it was alcohol had absolutely nothing to do with the pun at all.

The scriptwriter said "pils" from pilsner wasn't the source. Beers was used on some new merchandise and seems likely.

Ah, my mistake.
But he still said "that's not the source", more like "alcohol" is not the source instead of the specific names.
He would be pretty picky if he said "pils" and "whiskey" were not the source simply because it was "beers" instead, to me his "that's not the source" encompasses the whole alcohol thing.

But hopefully, we'll know for sure someday soon.
