They had reasons for that. Piccolo's jump had no explanation but "he trained". Never make a jump like that before, never makes a jump like that again.

They had reasons for that. Piccolo's jump had no explanation but "he trained". Never make a jump like that before, never makes a jump like that again.

Reason: It was convenient for the story.

Which is the same reason Gast is capable of becoming that powerful.

Power jumps are rarely logical throughout Dragon Ball Z.....characters make absurd leaps with a fraction of the training it took previous characters to reach that level, but story wise they usually work better for the plot. Just like it's working here.

I'm talking nothing like the RoSaT or Kaio's planet. Training with a Super Saiyan is pretty weak reasoning for Piccolo to get x50-x100+ stronger.

As ridiculous as Piccolo-Nail going from a power level close to Freeza's second form to a power level capable of humiliating Android #20 (who was powered up by a Big Bang attack from SSJ Vegeta and Piccolo's supressed power) just by training 2 or 3 years on Earth? Also, remember that Piccolo doesn't have zenkais to pull off this achievement.

It seems that fans sometimes forget even the plot points of the source material... There is nothing more ridiculous about Gast than there is about the original manga.

According to what we see in the manga, its perfectly logical to assume that Gast could be that strong within a few decades.

As for how many Namek fused together, Kaio stated that there were over a hundred left. So, even if Freeza killed about 30 or 40, there would still be 70 or 80 Nameks.

The Super Saiyan was the strongest and most incredible fighting force in the story at that point. I believe going against that force for three years straight is way more beneficial than whatever the ROSAT could bring since that room only serves as a way to squeeze in more time when you need it, otherwise the increased gravity isn't any different than fighting with weigthed clothes in harsh conditions, which ,at that point, should be run-of-the-mill for most of them, so in other words, nothing special. Unless you have a challenging training partner, that room brings nothing more than added time and some difficulty with added gravity, which personally, I don't think can compare to constantly testing your strength against someone that it that much more powerful than you and pushing yourself trying to reach that power.

Personally I think it's a very good reasonsing to have him get stronger through training when it's under those type of conditions and I find it way more plausible than the power increase the humans had with Kami's or Kaio's training since we understand better what Gohan and Piccolo are going against.

Who knows, probably.... I don't think in numbers from the Cell arc onward and don't really like them in the previous arc either, but I think of how Gohan, who was probably no match for Nr. 20 when he entered the room, comes out with a power that can handle Cell in his pefect form.

But it wasn't the room that made the difference, but the one who he was training with. Same as with Piccolo.

Bulma just says, "Too bad..." and Gohan (with an oddly-drawn face) immediately strikes a grin when he asks if he can help Gast. But I guess this is DB, so I hardly expected them to drop to their knees crying uncontrollably.

I like the ending panel, though. Gast actually looks quite intimidating. Maybe it's his height and his massive hands on Vegeta and Kyui's shoulders.

He already mentioned that he can't, as he's a warrior-type (they can't spawn children nor create DBs) and lost some of the Namekian abilities. I guess, even though he'd fused with all the remaining Namekians on the planet, their abilities all got diluted in the fusion. And Gast is based on Nail, a warrior-type Namekian.

So with this filler drawing to end we can look foward to the showdown between Piccolo Daimaou and Gast.
Gast displayed in the filler psychokinetic powers akin to that of Piccolo. IIRC didn't Piccolo then lift a couple of pyramids during a filler in DBZ? If so shouldn't Gast, who is comparatively several times stronger than Piccolo, be able to compress Daimaou into a pulp using only his mind?
