I'd thought we'd past that dark chapter in Dragon Ball's history...

I'm also a much bigger fan of the manga, I do feel that Kai is giving an all around quicker and more accessible experience, and I too at times cannot stand the anime.

In essence, I agree with your post and think that Rocketman should leave this thread as he's merely trolling at this point. No, I'm serious Rocket, you're obviously just being opinionated and self-righteous about how you feel about the show. In short, you're not that big a fan of it to begin with, so here you're just causing more trouble than anything else.

On Topic: I don't know if I'll be purchasing these as soon as they come out, but I do know I want to get them some day. Sooner rather than later of course, but when the time is right and the price is just a little cheaper... and I have more money!
Bah, DBZA Season Two or Three would look sexy with some DBOX masters used. The fans demand you buy them!!

Here's hoping marathon mode migrates over to this release.

While it's not specifically related to the Japanese version, I'm hoping FUNimation will finally do some good extras for their version, too. Doubtful, but alas...

Who knows, maybe FUNimation will one day make some über release for fans of their dub, or even the Ocean dub. Not entirely likely, but seemingly possible.
Yeah. Marathon mode is mostly likely on here. It's called Story Mode.

Yeah. I was totally prepared to pick up DBOX singles.
I just recently doing that. No need for them now.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

I wonder if they'll keep the original menus with the scouters and such or make some new ones, seeing as there are a bunch of Z sets instead of two.

Team FourStar should reupload Abridged with DBox footage.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

They might make them as close as possible.

But they should change the episode selection menu animation to something more consistent with the set. Probably something like Krillin and Piccolo fighting Nappa or Goku & Piccolo vs. Raditz

Actually, I was kind of hoping Evolution and the 2008 special would be part of the movie DBox.

Well FUNimation said they didn't have a thing to do with the Dragon Box. So I guess we're getting almost the same thing the Japanese got only that the chnage would be the Japanese text on the menus are translated into English.

Why the hell would Funi put Evolution on the Movie box?!

Because it's Funimation and DragonBall release. There has to be something either shoddily created, inconsistent, or down right incorrect in the Box.

Evolution happens to fill all of those spots out quite nicely.

Now you guys are just being petty and unnecessarily cynical.

I hope you're right. I'd love to see the Japanese DBox menus used for the US release! Those menus are really cool!

It's not part of the actual Dragon Ball series. It's not an animated movie. It's a stand alone. There would be absolutely no point in even putting it on the Movie Box.

That's probably one of those movies that FUNimation probably wants to distance themselves from, though...

I mean, the Korean and Chinese live action movies aren't on DBox discs.
