Lol I shouldn't have said that. I have a bad memory so maybe I didn't. I usually do it when there's dry spells and people want news... I spread it out. It helps.

What I meant is that they (the people running the blog) posted the scans from JumpSQ that didn't say anything about him creating monsters, but then put a piece of information pertaining to Piccolo creating monsters. It just seemed rather odd to me, considering the rest of the scans had snippets pertaining to just what was in the scan, that's all

Only I run the blog. We use to have contributors that very rarely posted news, but they have a life now.

Actually...

Does anyone here think it's possible that this Piccolo isn't green to help differentiate him from his spawn, the Piccolo grown from Ma Junior?

I personally found that particular story element a bit confusing as a kid. I can definitely see Hollywood going for a yellow Piccolo for the "evil" one, and green Piccolo for the "good" one, so as not to confuse the movie-going public. And if this were the case, I wouldn't have a problem at all with Yellow Piccolo.

It was cool how each of Piccolo's spawns in the manga were very different and there was a lot of originality in each of there designs; whereas if these are supposed to be Piccolo's spawns it seems more like the came from the orc creating technique from Lord of the Rings.

Anywho..I decided to browse around Dbthemovie.com. It's really great to see how into the film Jamie Chung seems to be. When all is said and done, I'm pretty sure that the Special Features, and Behind the Scenes featurettes will be awesome to watch. More than likely, the cast had a kickass' time on set. Hopefully that level of energy will be translated onto the film as well.

Anyway, as for Piccolo being old, yeah. We know he's old(ish, anyway) in the movie. Marsters outright said he made the make-up artist make him look older right before they started shooting. Considering that he wasn't intended to look old in the script I highly doubt there's any youth seeking or wishing for youth during the movie.

As for the skin color change... I had a thought recently. Maybe it was done for technical reasons? I know that green is a real pain to work with on camera. It's possible they couldn't get a proper shade that looked good and worked well with the camera's and all the green-screening they were likely doing. Bit of a long shot, perhaps, but always possible.

Well, he does have a point, though. They were never applicable in the first place and they got old pretty damn fast.
