Sorry for double posting, but I figured this should get its own post. Blizzard by Daichi Miura is on Spotify. This sounds nothing like something you’d hear from Dragon Ball and I love it. So goddamn catchy.

Check out the background of this shot with Full Power Broly...That does not look like the volcanic setting that we've seen so far. There was a DBMFL interview with the CG crew for the film not too long ago where they spoke about a different dimension in the film that was only possible through CG. I have a very strong feeling that the final battle for the film will take place there.Spoiler:
It's just like the blacked-out background we saw when Broly went LSSJ in Movie 8:

What? How could you possibly watch this and conclude that movies 8,9,10 and 12 had better animation?Son-Kakaroto wrote:I didn't really find the animation that captivating. I still think movie 12 had the best animation. Movie 8, 9 and 10 were good too.JazzMazz wrote:I'm glad that the trailer didn't spoil much and instead tried to just be pure hype.
I feel like, with a lot of trailers, they tend to spoil literally everything about whats going to happen in the film, but this trailer only slightly teased at some things, and left other stuff ambiguous.
Well, at least we now know how Broly his going to screw over the planet...
Anyway, they definitely raised my intrigue about how the fights were going to play out in the film, and definitely seems to be living up to the hype about best animated DB film(aside the meh CGI).
Ruin Paragus? There isn't much to ruin. And I can't imagine he'll be THAT different from the movie either way. Broly's character and how it changed from the original is the focus here.Doctor. wrote:The action scenes were fantastic and the CG didn't feel intrusive at all but I'm still worried about the story. I don't think it's silly at all... Whis is doing nothing than we already seen him done before: toying his opponent (like he did many times while training Goku and Vegeta).TheOne wrote: It’s silly to say Whis showing up on the battlefield is lame seeing as how most of us want to see him in action after him doing nothing this entire time. We’ve seen even less of him fighting than we have Beerus.
Beerus vs. Broly would be a perfect opportunity to see the full extend of the Universe 7 GoD power.

Wow. So Goku & Vegeta are that clothed damaged and bruised against just SS Broly. Maybe the Full Power fight will be just against Gogeta? Goku & Vegeta push themselves as far they can go and thus push Broly to go Full Power and as a last resort fuse.
Also Vegeta armour-less > armoured Vegeta. He looks so good as SSGSS like that! I guess this is why the model sheets for SSGSS specified combat armour and dogi respectively for Vegeta & Goku.
The whole marketing for the film has been bizarre in regards to showing forms in footage. This is our first glimpse of actual footage in motion for SSG Vegeta & FP Broly yet for months they've been marketed all over the place. And now Gogeta will get a boring static reveal instead of showing him in motion even for a glimpse like that FP Broly at the end. I can maybe understand them waiting to officially reveal him after the film has come out like SSGSS Vegeta back in 2015 but we know for a fact unlike that he's definitely being revealed this month just screams of Shueisha wanting to reveal him in V Jump to sell copies.

Whis locks him and Gogeta away someplace in his staff so they don't destroy everything?Super Saiyan Swagger wrote:I think I've figured out how Whis is involved in this film. What’s with you people and complaining about “substance” in a cartoon trailer? Do you want them to spoil the entire plot for you guys? Goodness. Just be patient and enjoy the visual appeal of the trailer for now. You got plenty of “substance” in the last trailer.Kataphrut wrote:Trailer looked cool, but there really wasn't a lot of substance to it. Cheelai's line and Whis getting involved were the only real notable hooks, the rest was just incredibly good looking action. Which isn't bad, but I know this movie's going to be pretty. I don't need more reminders.
Also, if this is the last trailer, would it really kill them to throw in at least a hint of Gogeta? I know people don't want it spoiled, but without any build-up, I'm worried it's going to come out of nowhere in the movie itself.

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
Paragus was a nuanced character. He was a parent who simultaneously loved and wanted the best for his son, and thought highly of him as the one who'd overthrow Freeza. After being betrayed by his king and years of being a victim to Broly's rampages, it's no wonder he lost what little humanity he had and came to see Broly as nothing more than a tool for his revenge. He was a well-realized character and this movie loses a dimension to him if he's just a dick who sees Broly as a tool from the start. Obviously though they could write Broly this way while keeping that dimension to Paragus, it wouldn't be hard and we'd have two good characters. Here's hoping.PFM18 wrote:What? Not to mention that Broly being a good boi who dindu nuffin and doesn't really like murdering goes against Saiyan nature. Saiyans love to fight, which this movie keeps reminding us, but Broly is actually a good person? Wait, what? Saiyans like to fight, and fighting gives a feeling of superiority over your opponent. That's why they're evil bastards who murder. Goku is the exception, not the rule. This recent Toriyama trend of whitewashing Saiyans doesn't sit well with me.
Then again, conjecture. I'll wait for the film.
Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
That CGI shot of Goku/Vegeta side by side is getting me worried. I thought it looked pretty bad. Also, maybe it is yellow in the colored manga, but the Galick Gun not being purple doesnt sit right with me.
I'm still frightened that SSBE won't make an appearance and that would really disappoint me.
And I really don't want Whis to get involved in the fighting.

I doubt you'll see Blue Evo or KK Blue, I mean, they'd have shown designs for those if they were in the movie, they're not spoilers.PFM18 wrote:That CGI shot of Goku/Vegeta side by side is getting me worried. Dragon Ball Legends recently did something to reaffirm the original stance. Shallot fights Turles who's spent the vast majority of his appearances being a conniving manipulator/Star Scream type but not a fighter. Shallot calls him out on this, reminding him that battle is the true path of the Saiyan's and Turles gets a begruding respect for Shallot when he lets him feel like a Saiyan again from their battle.Doctor. wrote:PFM18 wrote:What? SSBE obviously won't make an appearance. It's just a Toei thing. Isn't that obvious at this point?PFM18 wrote:That CGI shot of Goku/Vegeta side by side is getting me worried. Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
My guess is that because Broli goes into a berserk mode of sorts he has never actually enjoyed a fight like Gokuu and Vegeta and Gokuu wants to fight him to change that.
Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
You mean asspulls and inconsistencies like Goku pulling MSSB out of nowhere after defusing, Goku pulling Hakai out of nowhere (even though he's never seen the technique in the manga and was supposed to be exclusive to Hakaishin), Future Trunks' random healing powers that suddenly appear and disappear, Gohan out-of-nowhere being equal to SSJ Kefla (despite it being suggested that he wasn't even SSG level when first appearing in the ToP) everything involving Kale in the manga's ToP, Goku forgetting martial arts teachings from Roshi that he already mastered in early DB, etc.Melkaniator wrote:
The inconsistencies are too many in there, the manga version makes way more sense, plus less asspulls.
Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
The manga continuity will get it's own version of the events, shouldn't it be obvious that this will be in the anime continuity of events? If Vegeta achieves a new form, and doesn't use it with no explanation, that causes continuity issues. It certainly appears at this point that he won't use it, but that pisses me off and I hope my intuition is wrong.Mercenary wrote:SSBE obviously won't make an appearance. It's just a Toei thing. The design sheets for SSBKK wouldn't even be necessary because he looks the same outside of his aura and the character sheets don't have an aura.ekrolo2 wrote:I doubt you'll see Blue Evo or KK Blue, I mean, they'd have shown designs for those if they were in the movie, they're not spoilers.

The DBS Broly movie itself is a Toei thing, and SSBE is in the manga.Mercenary wrote:SSBE obviously won't make an appearance. It's just a Toei thing. They'll probably re-tell it using anime continuity specific things.PFM18 wrote:The manga continuity will get it's own version of the events, shouldn't it be obvious that this will be in the anime continuity of events? I think it might be time to give up on trying to figure out what is in continuity with what anymore. “Canon” in Dragon Ball has become as messy as a western comic book universe.PFM18 wrote:The manga continuity will get it's own version of the events, shouldn't it be obvious that this will be in the anime continuity of events? You forgot to mention Kale one-shotting Anilaza as if he was freakin' Kuririn. Link worked fine with spotify app. I was down on the song before but now i suspect maybe it was just used poorly in the trailer. Csn definitely see it working as an end credits scene especially with that intro if it starts playing at the end of the film before credits start.DHM211 wrote:It wont let me play it.Super Saiyan Swagger wrote:Sorry for double posting, but I figured this should get its own post.
