Can't believe this old fanart might become a real thing on the future (ignoring the fan created GoDs):

I bet you said this when people suggested Broly being the villain of this movie: “Yeah, right. Like they would bring Broly, a movie villain, into the main continuity after just creating Kale, thanks for giving me a good laugh ”
Noah was actually one of the first to suggest Broly for the movie!
Yeah, but I was never a fan of making evil characters good, no matter if they were rebooted. You might say... Oh, but Tien, Piccolo and Vegeta, sure, but these three had decent character arcs to finally change their path it wasn't something abrupt.
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
I really don’t have a clue if it’s been mentioned, but the Whis vs Broly scene in the trailer looks more to me that Whis is training him.
I don’t think we will ever see Whis (or angels) actually fight seriously, and I don’t think we should neither, but I feel that whether Broly is aware of it or not, Whis is training him - maybe for battle against Goku and Vegeta.

Those fan-made GoDs look WAY better than the ones we got. Its a shame how fans can come up with way better character designs than Toriyama does since the new millennium smh.

...Yeah gonna have to vehemently disagree with you on that one. Several of the ones in that pic have that super generic "macho" look and don't really have a unique look to them. The ones we got were way better even ones like Belmod who didn't have an especially original design but ended up looking really good.
Spoiler:
Super carries on much of Dragon Ball and Z's charm in ways that might not immediately be obvious, while also bringing something new to the table. I certainly can't think of any previous arcs like Goku Black, and, for all its problems, the Tournament of Power is possibly the most ambitious storytelling endeavor in series history as far as how its narrative unfolds. It's also a thrill ride, which is all I wanted and exactly what I got. Super also canonizes decades old fan theories in ways that very naturally tie into the overall fabric of Dragon Ball's world in satisfying ways. All in all, Dragon Ball, Z, and Super are all well worth experiencing.

Being more "unique" doesn't necessarily mean better, especially since most of Toriyama's GoD designs are pretty ugly and hilariously bad, especially Quitela lol.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that,
Half the Gods we have in Super are just like that of your normal anthropomorphic animal people that you’d always see in the background when watching Dragon Ball and sometimes Z. We have 2 cats, a fish, a fox (B but its a kitsune and i like them so ill give that a pass), an elephant, and a rat. And while the fanmade image also has some animal-like people, their designs still have far more unique qualities than the animal-like Gods of DBS.
I just wish the Gods were more like this:
Each universe had a god based off of a god from a differnt culture of religion. That would have been way cooler

I called it that Gogeta, Bardock, and something Broly related would be in the movie before it was even announced that it was a Broly movie.

Being more unique counts for something when the alternative is generic fan-fic trash. They don't even look better, they just look downright ugly most of the time. I do like the wolf one though. His little necklace completes the look.
I don't know, I like the GoD designs we got except for the one hideous looking guy that can't remember their name. He's one of the four GoDs of the "better" universes.

Well to be fair, Vegeta's change of side is pretty poorly made, since he was no better the likes of Freeza, him attacking Cell because he killed Trunks was just sudden since before or after the training he didn't show any care for Trunks, Boo saga was a better with this since at least we see him telling Trunks to not push himself too hard while training, it's not much, but it's something, which is what Piccolo when changing sides too.

My man, all Goku had to do was go SSJ3 and shock Vegeta so much the M on his head would have turned into an L and Buu would have never happened.

He did have some care for Future Trunks in Android arc, considering how he lets him follow him around, took pride in the fact that he killed Freeza and become a SSJ at a young age after finding out their relation, and was one of the few characters Vegeta give genuine props to before the Buu arc.
And Vegeta didn't really become a "good guy" until the fight with Fat Buu. Before then, he was a villain (or an extremely dark anti-hero depending on your view) who only sided with the Z-fighters to pursue his own interests.

Well, Vegeta will let people follow him around even if he feels disdain towards them, which is how he felt towards Trunks when they were searching for Gero's lab (He tried to get ahead of Trunks when Trunks started to follow him, but once Trunks transformed to catch up he stopped trying), and he didn't demonstrate any care for Trunks before Cell killed him as far as I remember, closest thing I can think of is him saying that Trunks has almost as much power as him when he was fighting Semi-Perfect Cell, and when they were searching for Gero's lab he remembers that Trunks can go SS, but ends with "Not surprising... He is my son.", so that one was more of him praising himself than anything.
And Vegeta didn't really become a "good guy" until the fight with Fat Buu. Before then, he was a villain (or an extremely dark anti-hero depending on your view) who only sided with the Z-fighters to pursue his own interests.
True, I was just classifying him attacking Cell after Trunks is killed as a selfless action, on a similar vein to his self destruct moment (Not on the same level of course, but it was a start).

I doubt Whis would be training him this early. It’s more of a possibility that Broly was attacking anyone in sight and Whis happened to be in his field of vision. Since he has the rage thing going on, it’s not impossible. Someone in here also mentioned that Whis could possibly be stalling Broly while Goku and Vegeta attempt to fuse.

Not related to your question but looking to the new Bardock design, they should have kept his armbands red. There's too much blue in the Saiyan outfits.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota
Yeah, I wouldn't mind the change in colors, but there is too much blue on Bardock now, not good. Especially because they also removed Bardock's red acessories he wears on top of the boots. And, of course, no red bandanna.
Hopefully Bardock eventually gets his classic visual.

Based on what they've said, the release for this movie won't be nearly as limited as for BoG or RoF. Pre-ordering may not even be necessary, unless you just want to see it on day one.
