I doubt it will be covered much in the manga, but I'm sure the movie will expand on it. The first chapter feels like it skipped a lot of what we're going to see at the beginning in order to room for Freeza's appearance.

On no doubt. I'm sure they're under strict guidelines not to spill ALL the beans anyway.

As for that design sheet, I really hope that's real and not just one that someone took and edited 18 and Marron in there (since 18 is wearing the same thing she was in BOG and all). Argh at that Marron design too - she's regressing/changing shape! Geez, what is she, Ponyo?

It also just occurred to me that this is the first time Goku's trained under a new master since Kaio.

Hey... Who knows a new technique we will see? That would be awesome! (But at the same time, it would be included in the list of techniques not developed by Kakarot, only taught him by another person ).

Part of me wants to say that Marron looking like that (ugh) is pretty much the last nail in the coffin for hoping that Goten and Trunks are going to have aged up at all in this movie...but at the same time, not only are they older than her, they're more important characters. So...there's...still a small iota of hope? Kinda? Sorta? Maybe?

Marron is a little girl and I wouldn't try to extrapolate any trend based on anything just yet, these sort of things tend to be unpredictable. Personally I would love to see Goten and Trunks grow and change but I hardly expect them to be anything but a smidge taller and that's okay.

So did Goku (dragging Vegeta along no doubt) somehow approach Whis about it, or did Whis approach them about it after Beerus went back to sleep?

I'm pretty sure Whis went to them cause Goku doesn't know how to get to Beerus' planet so there isn't a way for him to reach Whis.

Yeah, but she's looking younger than she did in the Boo arc at this point, and that's just strange.



I mean, even disregarding GT, she's still supposed to get to this point eventually, so...maybe she's just a really late bloomer?

True...though I forget, is it stated for sure that Whis has God ki as well (I would assume he does, but still), so that Goku couldn't sense him and teleport there? Then again, now that Goku has God ki as well, maybe he can sense it now? I forget what was stated on that front.

As for why he would, I'd assume maybe because they'd be good playthings for Beerus, who he serves? Either that or he really is up to something.

A small handful. You're better off just reading the synopsis on the main site and waiting for someone to release the full thing.

Here's the preview of chapter 2. The only thing worth mentioning is
that Whis seems to be training them, and their fight woke up Beerus.

Anyone else rooting on Freeza to kill beerus? lol.

I actually think this is gonna happen, Beerus will already be angry cause Goku & Vegeta's training didn't let him sleep, and now Freeza is threatening to destroy the Earth, a planet of mysterious and delicious pudding, Beerus's gonna be motherfucking pissed, he'll attack Freeza and Freeza will somehow manage to find a way to kill him.
At the end, Shenlong will resurrect Beerus (and everyone else who dies), and Whis will be waiting for him with a bowl of pudding.

That's how I imagined Beerus's story in this movie

Aaand... still no Trunks or Goten. Dang! Now this is really starting to make me think even more that they may have a more important part in the movie, because I can't see them not being it it. They're hiding them for some reason, I just know it.

Nice to see a non-distorted version of Goku and Vegeta there finally. Notice how they both have those extra side-profile drawings... I think we know who the most important characters are in the movie I don't know if I want to see how skinny Gohan's arms are under those tracksuit sleeves, and Marron down there, haha. I guess she's going through a chubby stage.
