Regarding Hetap; has it ever been said anywhere what the pun is? Because I just found out one of the medical words for liver is "Hepat". If Hetap's an alcoholic drink that's named after a pun for the organ that's majorly involved with what happens when you drink alcohol that's pretty clever and a little bit grim (like naming a cigarette brand after an anagram for lungs.)
I remember reading it comes from hetappi, which seems to mean "bad" or "crummy" in Japanese. (So a crummy drink? lol) Don't quote me on that, though. I don't speak Japanese. =P
Toriyama also published something called Hetappi Manga Kenkyūjo from 1982-1984, which Wiki says is translated as "Akira Toriyama's Hetappi, Crummy Manga Lab."

Didn't know that. The idea that poor Future Trunks drinks "Crummy brand Beer" fits given the crummy dystopia he lives in.
Is Goku's comparison between Krillin and Satan supposed to be a slight jab at the whole "TIEN IS DUR STR0NGUZT HUMANZ!!" thing?

I'm rpetty sure if it was, they would of had Tien giving a reaction, or Cell using this to make a jab at him

Goku was wanked to hell in Z, even when he wasn't in the room and everyone else was secondary to him. In fact, this was a major issue Goku had, which is why he didn't want to do anything in the Buu Saga.

Still, the comparison only works if Goku assumes Krillin is the strongest Earthling.

I think he's just making fun of Kuririn for being the strongest Earthling there who has participated in a tournament and hasn't won. Tenshinhan won his, Yamcha is a weakling and Piccolo isn't a human.

I hadn't thought of that but it does make sense now that you mention it, even if Tien did win by the skin of his teeth.

But, maybe TFS considers Tenshinhan stronger than Krillin as in Episode 37 Gero wanted to fight a "bald guy" and Tien says "Anytime old man" and then Gero points he wanted Krillin instead.
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

Gero has little knowledge on their power after their fight with Vegeta (They made a whole joke surrounding that), so he doesn't know how strong Krillin is at that time

But he can measure as 19 did it with Yamcha mistaking him with Goku. He defeated Krillin easily and pointed to Tien then later refused, would he just be fooled by Tien's attitude?

He does seem to be easily fooled by bravado after Vegeta kicked 19's ass

"He's even stronger than Krillin" was because Mr Satan has won a tournament and Krillin hasn't. Yamcha hasn't won one either, but Krillin has been to the semi-finals and Yamcha only to the quarter finals, so by that logic Krillin is stronger than Yamcha. Satan is then equal to Goku and Tien who have both won tournaments.

It's also about Krillin being human since Piccolo hasn't won one either despite going all the way to the final match.
Correct me if I'm mistaken but is this the first episode to include Dragon Ball Super in its disclaimer? I found that interesting. Cell coldly shooting Piza, Piroshiki, & Karoni down was an especially effective gag. I harbored those feelings when I first watched the Dragon Ball Z adaption.

Being Super-fans of the series, they're definitely already well aware that Toriyama has stated himself that Krillin is the strongest Earthling. It really doesn't seem to be the case though, it would be a pretty funny gag if Krillin suddenly turns out to be stupendously stronger than Tenshinhan in DBZA and catches everyone off-guard, wouldn't it?

As someone who's constantly and frustratingly finding himself compelled to clear up the "strongest Earthling" thing in a lot of discussions... I am very much looking forward to that pay-off.

I'm predicting that Krillin is the only one going to be surprised by the information.
