The SS3 Goku fight not having background music was an AWESOME decision. I'm not even kidding. Complete silence aside from the sound effects, and it was so perfect.
Yes, it was perfect! This fight scene was one of those "keep holding your breath moments" - it didn't need music.

How do you figure? They both got their asses kicked, if anything it seems like Goku did better because he lasted longer in battle
And Toriyama read the whole series over

The thing is though, Birusu is using a Supernova-ish technique. It would seem the Cold family adopted this technique and passed it down to their children.

Gohan
did at least lay a hand on Billy with that short-lived full nelson, which is more than Goku ever managed. But even that could be written off as Bruce being distracted by Boo at the moment.

There's nothing that implies this in any way shape or form.

Anyone else notice before Bills finished Goku off with the tap to the neck, only his head was visible while flying at him?

Real question is, did Toriyama re-read the manga before or after he confused SSj3 for SSj2?

Did Toriyama read the whole manga over? That must've been interesting for him.

Maybe that particular little goof-up was what spurned him to re-read it in the first place!

Just wondering, is there any significance of Birusu turning that egg into sand, or was it just some random "look he has god powers" moment?

I feel that, with the huge speed and strength he has, people as weak as Goku should never be able to catch him off guard no matter his distraction lol.

Bills using a technique in the form of a giant ki ball doesn't mean its the same attack Cooler/Freeza uses. Much like how Freeza's disc looks just like Krillin's distructo disc even though they are not the same attacks.

I certainly hope so! That would be a new low for Toriyama to forget after re-reading it.

Except that Birusu's "fire sphere" looks exactly like a Supernova....

It's just a generic attack. Sure the attack is similar, but Birusu has a different way of charging it and throwing it.

The Kienzon is a fairly basic technique though. We've never scene anyone use something remotely similar to a Supernova technique before. It's just strange that Freeza and Birusu are connected and have a similar technique.

I suppose it is possible but it just seems like a generic effect at this point to make the attack look intimidating.

Does anyone else love the way Birusu fights? He's the strongest in the series, and he doesn't go around bragging that fact with extremely strong blows. Sure, he did things like slamming Gohan and Buu together, then kicking them both away, but he also does a lot of "gentle" blows like the pressure point ones.
Also the finger flick move he did on Goku was pretty cool.

Do you think they'll show anymore clips and if so of what?
I hope they don't show the Vegeta getting handled by Bills, (As a vegeta fan that's what I want to see most, (other then Bills Vs. SSJG) in a clip released to the public until I get to see the whole movie all at once, as what there's only one fight left if they do, and there's no way there showing that fight, or am I wrong and there are other fights they can show?

Speaking of Birusu's supernova like technique, I guess they had ancient Egyptian Sun worship in mind because the energy ball looks like the sun.

It's an interesting concept, yeah. It seems like Bills uses the necessary force to beat whatever opponent he's facing, and no more.
