That's the exact thing we're trying to correctly "translate" right now. :D
Or rather, 'transcribe'.

Remember guys, try asking FUNimation (via any of their social networks) to upload an episode or three on a streaming site.
1) I'm tired. I couldn't think of the word. That's why I put "translate" in quotes. I need a nap.

2) Good idea. Heading to Twitter now.

We should probably just wait for a cleaner version of the song.

So far this sounds great, I am a lot more excited about the English release of Kai, because it seems at least they are trying their best, compared to the Japanese side, which just seems like mix mash of voice actors these days. Either way thank you Funi for making me excited about Kai, something that I was not impressed with.

It could be all; it depends on how you sing. In choir, I was taught to sing it like the British say all.

Dragon Soul!

Mostly the same as you now that I've discussed it for awhile and have taken a closer listen.
This is what I hear, only difference being,

rather than "bring your soul" (which doesn't really make sense), it could be Free your soul.

Whaddya think?

I'm also gonna go with Gozar and kinda think "WTF" as to why they took something already in English and changed it.

If they were gonna change it, they should have made it "Go! Go! Chocolate chiiiiips"

At least it would have rhymed, and Morgan Freeman would be proud.

Oh, yeah! Thanks, ohaimynameiserik! I remember thinking it was "Free your soul" when I was there watching it, but I guess I was so exited I forgot.

And I for one was hoping they'd change it. "Let's do it" doesn't sound good because that's not how one would actually say it. It would have to be "Let's do it", but that's not how the song goes.

I dunno, during the "___ your soul" line, it sounds like he's making a "-ch" sound after that long e.

The "I feel your strength" sounds to me like "I feel new strength".

I just found some new Kai clips in the comments from the Kai Opening video. The first one is of Gohan and the second one is a recap.

Here is the original comment:

Huh. Cook sounds off to me. It's not too big a deal, since it's Raditz, but I always felt that performance was always a solid one, as opposed to those that matured with time/remained bad.

And Schemmel is on it in the recap clip!

Wow, I'm really liking Colleen Clinkenbeard as Gohan!
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I noticed this too. It's a shame, I usually enjoy his performance as Raditz.

The new voices I've heard so far; Gohan and the narrator; both sound really good. :3
Even though I don't think it'll happen, I'd be interested to hear this narrator as Kaio-sama.
I haven't heard Mr. Schemmel's Goku in a while, but he sounds closer to the voice he used in DB than in Z. Interesting.

And nice idea to overlay the cam rip audio with higher quality Kai footage.
On hiatus.

Sean Schemmel's Goku still isn't great, but it's better than before, at least. For some reason he sounds more like Ian Corlett now. Colleen Clinkenbeard's Gohan is pretty good. Justin Cook's Raditz is okay.

Yeah, that was actually fairly enjoyable. Clinkenbeard is a huge improvement as Gohan.

It's hard to rate the voices based on such low quality audio. The narrator sounds evil or something in that clip. :p

I wish that whoever is narrating was also playing as Kaio-sama. That would be so awesome.

That narrator really reminds me of the Ocean dub narrator...

I've never been a fan of Cook's Raditz, but that "Kakarrot!!" was probably the best he's ever done.

And...oh my, that Piccolo scream actually sounded like Sabat wasn't afraid of going beyond his character voice for once! O.o

Seconded. And thirded. And infinitied. Anybody but Sean Schemmel as Kaio. But the narrator sounds like he might potentially have the chops to be a good Kaio.
