Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

Y'know, I can't help but wonder what sort of potential this movie would've had if Sorbet and Tagoma had chosen to revive King Cold. We got so little of him, I'd imagine there's a lot more freedom for exploring and expanding on his character. Who knows what crazy transformations they could've come up with for him.

But on the movie at hand, I really hope that Freeza has an actual plan this time, rather than just train and then launch an all-out assault on Earth. Who knows, maybe he collects the Dragon Balls again and revives his father.

I feel like Freeza is so much of staple in the franchise, he's responsible for most of the events, he's used as measuring tool in terms of power. Cold just came from nowhere in the first place, and it's not like he has a grudge against anyone besides Trunks. He wouldn't get the same reception as Freeza.

- Bulma fighting in the battle, and some moments with her and Vegeta
- What Frieza will have to say to Goku and Vegeta after being gone for so long
- An on-screen death (besides Tagoma. For months now, I've been predicting Beerus will die.)
- Whether the other 11 universes will be important in the story

King Cold is a pointless character, don't know even why he was introduced in the first place

Huh...hadn't thought about Cold being revived (instead of Freeza), that would have been interesting...but while it may have been the better choice, it probably would have had less impact, overall.

Isn't post Majin Vegeta and BoG Vegeta the same in personality though? BoG Vegeta just had a lil' bit of more character development, but their personality is pretty much the same.

I wouldn't say post-Majin Vegeta is the same, since he still seemed to be the same asshole he was before after coming back for the Kid Boo material,...but post-Kid Boo Vegeta and BOG Vegeta would be the same probably. We just got to see so little of that version of him though, that he shows up so much better in this new material that we've been getting.

I would hate for Beerus to die so soon.
Though it is likely to never happen, Goku dying to Frieza would be Incredible! It would also be majorly different than anything in Z, as the only thing similar would be Goku dying to Cell, though this would be better since Gohan had a chance to kill him, and Goku wouldn't have one here.

I would kind of hate that too. He just seems like such a likeable antagonist to keep around, and after I learned that he and Whis were returning for this movie, I just had a weird feeling that he might die. I dunno! Yeah, I couldn't see Goku die, though. But there's evil afoot. I think someone's bound to die besides Tagoma.

The first chapter of the manga adaption was released, and Kanzenshuu did a write up of it, which can be found on the first page if you scroll down.

Vegeta and Goku, among others, had their character designs released, which I can't attach since I am on my phone, though they should be back about 3 or 4 pages.

Goten and Trunks didn't appear in the first chapter of the manga.

In the previews of the second chapter, there are 4 images:
1) Whis easily defending against Goku and Vegeta.
2) Beerus, angry that their fight awoke him, blasts, producing the light we saw in the trailer (incidentally, Goku's and Vegeta's positions are switched from the trailer to the manga).
3) Frieza's army assembled on earth.
4) Frieza, in his first form, using the death beam.

Their were captions accompanying these photos, and they can be found on the front page of Kanzenshuu.

I believe Freeza won't die in this movie, but instead find a way to access the other universes, and on a lust to get stronger, explore them in hopes of expanding his empire and become stronger than the other gods of destruction. (Not all of this in FnF, but this will at the very least be set up if proven to be somewhat true)

Yeah, I'm kinda expecting something to happen to Beerus. Not sure about dying any more, but something. What other reasons would Whis have for training Goku and Vegeta? Other than the fact that they have potential to be great rivals, of course.

At this point, death is irrelevant in dragon ball XD. and nothing can truly happen to anyone, if Beerus died, he'd just pop up in the same place, just like Old Kaioshin, only bad guys die for good here. so attaining dark in the plot with death is a no no, however... if Toriyama would resort to Freeza torturing someone... then that would change all the game.

Seeing their designs.. I must say Goku's new outfit looked cool at first as it does in the poster but in that shot I'm not a fan.. the Boots are ugly.. Vegeta is meh too... I'm sure it will be better in action.

I think Goku had a cool suit, but I do like his old boots much better. I think Vegeta's suit would look much better black and with different pants, as the collar made me think it would be an old timey chinese attire. I like Vegeta with a slim build like in the Saiyan and Android Sagas, so aI liks that he is slim in the new movie.

I really hope we get more good tracks....the one's in Kai he does range from good, to ok, to bad, to reaaaaaally baaaaad.
